Thomas Kretschmann: Anyone else love this underused actor?

Why isn't Thomas Kretschmann a bigger star? I feel like he has been stuck at the same level of fame as when Liam Neeson, Viggo Mortenson, and Vincent Cassell were up-and-coming actors. Kretschmann has had great roles and he hasn't really headlined a flick yet.

Here are some of his great films:
Wanted, The Pianist, Blade 2, King Kong, Transsiberia, Downfall, Queen Margot, Immortal

I've liked him since King Kong. The thing about Wanted... you see the major spoiler coming from a mile away because of his casting. Didn't realize he was in The Pianist. I'll have to check that out again.

Yeah, I always think that too. Since King Kong I've thought he's a badass guy. Also that pic from Wanted is a great casting photo if need be. Who wouldn't cast him after seeing that pic.

I was very disappointed he had to be replaced on Hellboy 2 as the voice of Johann Krauss (although Seth McFarlane did end up doing a great job).

Fans will definitely want to check out Valkyrie since he's part of a truly amazing cast.

He's not bigtime in the States... but even in France, he was just co-starring until recently...He's never been the only star in a movie until Blueberry, Public Enemy Number One and Sheitan...all the other movies he's been in, there is someone else famous headlining with him (like Brotherhood of the Wolf, The Apartment, Irréversible, Crimson Rivers)

He didn't get much love from the makers of 24. They killed off his character in a video game.
