Supernatural "Its the Great Pumpkin, Sam Winchester"10/30/08

Spoiler:
Sam and Dean meet Castiel and his fellow angel Uriel, who warn the brothers to avoid intervening in a town where a witch is attempting to summon the demon Samhain, opening one of the Seals.

Looks like fun.

Alright! While I've enjoyed the last few episodes immensely, I'm glad they're getting back to the main story for this season.

I'm really interested in seeing how they handle Castiel and any other angels.

The opening scene was The make-up/effects departments deserve an award.

Plenty of praise-worthy moments tonight: Sam's fist-fight, the final scenes between Sam/Uriel and Dean/Castiel, zombies...Castiel is quickly becoming one of my favorite characters of the series and I was happy to see him humanized a bit in this episode.

Let's hope they keep up the pace they have going for the rest of the season.

Just proves once again why Supernatural stands out among all the other shows.

Castiel just gives off this Ultimate Badass Vibe. Imagine if we get to see him in action towards the end of the season.

To be quite honest, I would love to see some type of spin-off series with the Angels. There's very little we know about them and yet they just have a commanding presence on-screen.

Damn... I wish the Samhain plot was two or three episode story arc.

Favorite Lines of the Night:
Spoiler:
"Wicked Bitch Payback" and "Jesus on a Tortilla"

I really dug this episode last night. They are moving closer and closer to a Dean & The Angels vs. Sam & the Demons showdown.

It was a very solid episode. I like the characters so much that it's going to be strange if and when Sam turns.

What are the odds of two Rush references on two different shows on two different networks in the same week?

I wonder if its heading toward an angel vs. angel showdown (ala '95 "The Prophecy"). The Uriel angel seemed a little fishy.
