For those interested in lowering their "Price Ber Blu Disc" Here you go!

http://www.amazon.com/Blu-Cube-20-Pa...5301832&sr=1-1

I see no reason to own any of these movies except to lower your average price point for purposes of debating the high cost of Blu Ray, but who knows. Maybe somebody will enjoy watching Kirstie Alley be burned at the stake!!!

Probably prime candidates for Wal-Mart's first ever $6.50 Blu Ray bargain bin!!!

Interesting to note that Salem Witch Trials is actually cheaper on Amazon on Blu Ray than it is on DVD. (12.95 v. 9.95).

I've been in these debates since I started in '99. How everyone figured their average was different. Some would count a 2 disc SE as 2 discs automatically lowering their average for that title to $9.99 a disc even though it's only one movie at $19.99. Some would have a $25 title they paid $10 for at REEL.com (remember that?) then sell it on ebay for $15. Go out and buy another $10 title but call it $5 net because of the $5 profit from the last one.

Me, I'm a simple guy. How many movies did I buy? How much did I pay for said movies? That's my average. I like to keep my average down for me, not for competition. ALthough I'd love to see the skinny Kirstie Alley in compromising positions, I doubt I'll buy a cube of crapola just to lower my average.

Same here. I love bargains as much as the next guy. That said, I'd rather spend $14.95 on Body Heat than $9.95 on 10:5 Apocalypse.

Bingo!

Cost never enters my mind, only the quality and rewatch value of the film.

I would rather pay full price for what I really want. Buying a bunch of cheap crap I don't want to lower the average is a huge waste of money.

Those Echo Bridge titles are really, really bad. I bought two of the more "well known" titles and they were DVD upconverts with poor sound. I'll be passing on all these crap releases..unless they manage to gets some gems.

At $70.95 it's still a rip off.

Speaking of "price per Blu Ray", I am surprised that the price point has lowered as much as it has in such a short time.

I own 50 Blu Rays, none of them crap like these titles save one, and I've never paid more than $10 per title. 6 Bonds, 8 or so Disneys like the Pirate trilogy, etc

Maybe I've just been lucky, but I've been quite happy with the bargains that patience and daily perusal of this forum has gotten me. I thought I'd have to pay $20 or so per title, or wait another year for these prices, but my collection is growing rapidly.

I think it some of it depends on expectations. I own The Big White, The Salem Witch Trials, and have rented Angel in the Family. I knew they were all DD and PCM 2.0. The picture quality was adequate on The Big White and Angel in the Family, which I liked. Salem was a bit soft and the movie was just okay.

I've been collecting movies for almost 10 years, and I don't think I've ever given a thought to my per-disc cost. I buy what I want when I want it. I've taken advantage of many sales, and some discs I paid too much for locally. It all evens out.

I like bargains. I have way more wants than budget for movies. I try to make the most of it.

That said, buying this Cube of Crude would be a mistake. More than half the titles here I'd never watch. Most I probably wouldn't finish. The few that I would finish, I'd never watch again.
