Editor's Note

Sporting one of the most compelling premises in contemporary television, 24 unfolds in real time; each season depicts all 24 hours of one day. Following the activities of counter-terrorist agent Jack Bauer (Kiefer Sutherland) as he combats conspiracy and protects his family, the first two seasons find him saving the life of a presidential candidate and preventing the detonation of a nuclear bomb. Season three picks up three years later. Jack has just locked away a Mexican drug lord when a dead body infected with a deadly virus turns up in front of the L.A. Health Unit. As season four commences, a train crash orchestrated by terrorists sets off a chain of events that Bauer, aided by Chloe O'Brien (Mary Lynn Rajskub), races to prevent. In the fifth season, Jack is forced to come out of hiding when the lives of those who know of his whereabouts are threatened. This set includes every episode of the thrilling first five seasons.

Professional Reviews
CultureDose.net 9 of 10
...24 proved to be dark, gutsy, groundbreaking television. Series creators Robert Cochran and Joel Surnow presented audiences with an intelligently-written, ever more intricate story of conspiracy and intrigue. Sutherland, too, proved a surprise. Forget his career woes; he's a terrific actor, and perfectly cast here in the lead role...Kiefer Sutherland is a revelation as Jack Bauer. An actor with far greater range than he ever had the opportunity to display back in the Young Guns days, he has the requisite strength and depth to make Jack a believable character. - Kathleen Diehl

It's a prologue to Season 7. It's a self-contained story, but will also introduce some of the characters/relationships that will carry over into S7, most notably Robert Carlyle, I believe.

Get your facts straight. That's not Season 7. That's a self-contained tv movie. And how are you able to determine it's lame based on a preview that couldn't have lasted more than 2 minutes, if that?

By the way, no blu-ray, no sale!!!!!
