'2046' anytime soon?

This is a beautiful film with some amazing cinematography and story to match. It would be perfect in BluRay. Any HD on the way? Anyone know?

Maybe they're waiting to release it in the year 2046.

Never picked up the DVD, but this would look amazing in High Definition. I would get it day one.

I certainly hope so. Course, knowing us Region A folks' luck, France's TF1 will release both it and In the Mood For Love -- and B lock them.

Was there a problem with the audio on a specific release?
Or am I too obtuse for sarcasm?

No, actually there's a mixing issue on Sony's release that gives it very little rear-channel activity.

Hmmm I wonder if my Korean 3 disc suffers from this?
Will check in coming week.

Re: '2046' anytime soon?

Just an FYI: if it's still in print, I consider the Aussie SD release to be best. It has the correct color timing plus full surround audio, and a quite good commentary track. But this title seems to be such a natural for HD - and Wong is popular in all the major BD producing regions - that I can't imagine we'll be waiting forever.

If only CC could get a hand on a greater amount of Wong films.

Unfortunately, most of them are in Kino's hands.
