Magnolia Home Theater - $10 off Blu-ray coupon after demo - Starting Oct 19th

Just got this flyer in the mail which is for home theater days at Magnolia. It says you'll receive a $10 coupon off a blu-ray movie for watching a demo with one of the reps.

It's likely all Magnolia's are doing this so if you don't get the flyer just go in and ask the Magnolia sales rep about the coupon.

The flyer doesn't say anything about what titles it can be used on. Just a $10 coupon off a Blu-ray. This could be really good because you could go to multiple best buys and get a coupon for each.

Run dates for this promotion are Oct 19th - Nov 1st.

The Magnolia has to be in the Best Buy in order for you to get the coupon.

Store Locator Link below: The results tells you if it has a Magnolia

$10 off any BD or $10 off certain ones (or $10 if you buy x amount of copies?)

Last year IIRC it was $10 off 2 Disney flicks.

Sweet. Will re-buy Indy next week for $14.99 and return my $27 copy from this week.

Got this in the mail a few days ago and am going to drop by today. The flyer says $10 off your next Blu-ray movie purchase. Limit one coupon per customer. It doesn't say anything about being only on select titles - seems to be for anything.

Does it say "don't scan this coupon and post it on DVDTalk"?

I will reword my original post because BB is sending out a flyer, not the coupon. So I don't know what the coupon actually says, just what the flyer has. But if I had to guess, I would think that the coupon specifically mentions DVDTalk.

I went to Best Buy this morning to get the coupon. I had a 5 minute speaker demo then the rep couldn't find the coupon. He did an override of the price and I got the new Indiana Jones Blu-ray for $14.95 plus tax.

He didn't take the flyer nor ask for ID so I would think I could go back to that Best Buy in a couple of days (or another store) and get $10 off another Blu-ray.

Good deal.

The flyer doesn't have a coupon on it. It only states that you have to come in for a demo to get the coupon. In the fine print, it says "one coupon per customer." So this is a coupon you will get only after you do the demo.

I will try to post a scan of the flyer later.

Additionally, the run dates are from Oct 19th to Nov 1st.

This would be a nice way to get the Bond steelbooks for $15 each. You'd have to go to multiple Best Buys, though.

Or maybe take a couple of friends with you for the demo.

Too bad we don't have a Magnolia HiFi here in Boise, although I think my wife and I will be up in Seattle next weekend. Hmmm . . .

I did it today too and they also didn't have the coupon. Apparently it didn't show up in their promotional material. I got the Magnolia supervisor to sign his business card so hopefully I won't have trouble getting it honored on Tuesday when the Bonds come out. At worst it's sitting through another demo which was shorter than the time it took the guy to try to find the missing coupon.

Sweet, good time for me to buy Iron Man... and there's one 5min from my work. Great opportunity for a nice lunch break.

My local Best Buy had the coupons, so I dropped in for a 20-minute demo, which I found rather interesting. So with coupon in hand, I was able to pick up Indian Jones BD for $14.99! Thanks to the OP!

20 minutes? Jeez. Do they have a shorter one? I already own Blu-ray.

My demo was only about 5 minutes. It was an audio demo of some Vienna Acoustic speakers. I waited around a lot longer than that for the guy to try and find the coupon (which he couldn't).

Surprisingly, it wasn't a video demo. It was for surround sound. And it probably lasted longer because I asked questions.

But most surprising of all is that the only player they had in the demo room was an HD-DVD player -- there wasn't a Blu-ray player in sight! So they used the HD-DVD of "Transformers."

Regardless, it was worth the $10 coupon.

Would they still give you the coupon if you don't have the flyer with you(never got one)?

I just walked in, said I got a flyer about the surround sound demo and a Blu-ray coupon and got a 5min demo. The girl was very attractive, somewhat knowledgable about home theater stuff and was extremely friendly. All in all a great experience to get Iron Man on BR for $18.01 and 5min of my time! I can't wait to go back later in the week, this is a killer deal.

Went back today to get $10 off a Blu-ray and they honored the supervisor's word from Sunday when they didn't have the coupon available. I was pleased they gave me no trouble about that at all.

When I went in today, they had signs up about it. No flyer was needed. They showed me a clip from Iron Man in one of the theater rooms and gave me a soft sell about getting an HT "consultation." Took about 10 minutes and I got $10 off one of the Bond steelbooks (the coupon can be used on any BD). Not too shabby.

Thanks for the replies guys! I'll probably check it out on Thursday and bring a couple of friends with me.

After my demo, I got about 15 of those coupons . I got 3 Bond's, Halloween, and the new Hulk. Put them all on the same receipt and just gave the cashier 5 coupons and they scanned no problem. Now I'll be tempted to get some $19.99 titles that I wouldn't have normally have bought!

Did they give you 15 coupons or did they just have a stack sitting around?

If I could get at least 5 coupons, I'd be tempted to pick up some of the Bond Steelbooks, Hulk and The Strangers.
