I had read the book before the movie came and the movie took a long time to come out (recasting, changing directors, etc.). Sean Connery was supposed to be in it at one time. Anywho, other than the plot being changed (from tobacco companies being sued to gun companies being sued, because The Insider had just come out while RJ was filming and the 2 movies are similar in many respects), it was really good. An ending that you wouldn't see coming, too. Not to me though, having read the book, I knew how it would end. I liked the cast enough to see it in the theater, and was curious how the changed plot line would play out. However, I DIDN'T like that the plot (tobacco to guns) was changed...wanted it to be faithful to the book, but I liked it nonetheless.

I hope they are standard keep cases or thin packs. Either way, it'll be nice to get rid of three snappers. If they are think packs, I'll probably take the covers out and try to put them in the front of standard keep cases.

Anybody think it odd that this collection features 3 Warner Bros. titles and 1 Fox title? I know there was a joint effort between Warner and other studios when the original Stanley Kubrick box set came out, so I guess this would follow that process as well.

If only they would also follow the Kubrick set's example and come out with high quality releases of these titles complete with extras.

Well, here's the deets: They're all in thin paks. Both Pelican Brief and Time to Kill are still flippers. Looks like the set is just the 4 existing dvd's repackaged into thins. Oh well, at least I can get rid of 3 snappers!

I never bought these movies just because they were only snappers. I will look at picking this set up now as I liked Pelican Brief and Runaway Jury.
