Question about the Comcast DVR

I know I can either record two shows at once, or watch one channel while recording another, but is it possible to watch something that's already stored on the DVR while its recording two other shows at the same time?

I have not encountered the opportunity to try it yet and see.

Not only "yes, you can." but I do it all the time when possible to cut down on watching commercials as much as possible.

How big of a hard drive do they put in those things? Mine gets about 25% full with only 4 1-hour HD shows on it.

If you get one of the Motorola 3416 boxes, it's got a 160GB hard drive in it, and it's good for about 15-18 hours of HD shows.

I believe the Scientific Atlanta 8300HD I have only has 80GB, but I've had it for a few years. eSata to sata cable needed to connect box to the external drive, which used to be pretty hard to come by.
