Borders exclusive for Tuesday-- Indy box set w/Official fedora
I was very confused by the enormous boxes that I saw today, lo--
The box set of all four movies (MSRP 99.99) is packaged in a very large box with an official Indiana Jones Fedora (seems to MSRP 39.99)
Borders retail on the 'set' is 109.99.
(It's the 3 re-releases of the original films and the 2 disc of Kingdom)
PS: no, I don't know what the size is, or whether there are options.

(as fedoras and such go, anyway)
So, with that in mind, it makes the *list price* on the set just a smidgen over amazon's.
Then, of course, we add the inevitable coupon, and....76.99 with a 30%, for instance.

If you wanna re-buy the exact same discs of the first 3, that is... ugh..
just give us a set with Crystal Skull and the Fedora, and maybe you've got my interest.
I imagine very few people will be buying this.

It's a box about 7x18x24 (I'm terrible at measurements, mind, but that should be close enough).
As pics go, it's mostly a big prettified cardboard box with a picture of a hat and the DVD and "Officially Licensed Indiana Jones Fedora" on it. The packaging is not, yknow, garish or bad, but it's not really intended as a collector *box* either.

It's actually not a bad marketing idea. I'm guessing there will more than a few people who want to dress as Indy this Halloween. Might as well try to capitalize on it.

I would buy the hat, but I already have the first three and didn't like the fourth enough to even spend 20 bucks on it. We also know there is another box set with new features in the pipeline (I met a few of the guys pulling outtake and B-roll clips from the first three films for a forthcoming collectors edition. I saw the tapes, so this isn't 2nd hand info.)
To sum up, the only item here I actually want is the hat and there's no way I'm spending over a hundred dollars for it.
