PS3 internet problem

OK
I am getting sooo frustrated cannot get the ps3 to connect with router modem, keeps saying ip address failed, I also have the same problem when i try my laptop to get on now. I have one desktop hooked up wirelessly that works fine and one desktop with a wired connection working fine. Any thoughts?

Sounds like a router problem, not a PS3 problem.

Can anything connect to it wirelessly?

Have you modified settings recently?

Have you checked the router's settings to make sure everything is ok?

Can you see the wireless network, meaning is the SSID (if broadcasted) visible to the clients, but they just can't connect?

One of my desktop is connected wirelessly. When we got our stuff going my wife was on the phone with tech support forever and think she said they did a hardwire with the isp? Does that make any sense? My ps3 and laptop detect the modem/router just say ip address failed.

Is your router setup to be a DHCP server and assign IP's?

What brand and model of router do you have?
