Ive attacehd a pic of the BSOD which I had to have my camera ready since it sometimes happens at random...however, it now only happens when I turn on my monitor from a sleep..then I see vista telling me its "installing driver" (not sure what its doing) then it crashes right away...
These links may help regarding various sleep-related problems with Vista:

no not SP1 yet.. i did but had this prob and i thought I would have to reformat and reinstall so I did.... so I DID have SP1 at one point..
This was my previos prob thta let up to this:
I think I had a trojan a couple weeks ago..because my comp would suddenly restart with a blue screen crash (checking resources etc) then restart... it would do this at random moments...
So i finally refromatted, new virus scan, new spyware scan, new Vista Install...however now its doing it again.. however it seems to be doing it most aftwer a "wake-up" after monitor shuts down.. Ill bump the mouse, screen will come back, Ill see desktop for a sec, then blue screen... but I would see "installing drivers" at the bottom for a moment..
Im not really sure what else it coudl be.. I DID have SP1 at this piont

This is the identical BSOD I was getting on my Dell 630i before I ended up returning it. I was getting it constantly. Their tech support was little help, but they were convinced it was a driver issue. Are you using an Nvidia 9800 GT? They thought the issue might be video card related. How about any IDE hardware? I had added my old IDE HDD as a second drive and thought that might be the cause, but even after I unhooked it and stuck with the SATA drive I was still getting that error.
I was also getting really slow system performance. I had 4GBs of Ram on the 630i and my friend was convinced that was part of the problem since 32bit doesn't handle 4GBs well. I have since got a new PC with 64bit Vista and have zero issues so far. PC is fast and stable. It is almost a night and day difference.

I wish I could be more help, but after several phone calls to Dell's tech support I was unable to get an answer to that BSOD, but I do know it is pretty much identical to the ones I was getting. They were conviced it was a driver issue and had me try different versions of the Nvidia drivers, but nothing solved it. You may try uninstalling and reinstalling drivers to see if it helps. Maybe an older version of the video driver to see if there is a difference. You might even try Dell tech support, but that is a very frustrating experience. I talked to several and they seemed to suggest little besides reinstalling drivers and the OS.
