Amazing-- all four series are 2-0. Who's ready to start a 3-0 run?

One of these four teams will come back from the 2-0 lead, I sure hope it is my White Sox.

^^^^

Ditto.

I think we have a good shot at taking both in Chicago provided Danks and Floyd can turn in performances similar to this past week.

^I hope that happens. I don't even care who it is, it would just be awesome all around. But I don't think it will happen. I think the Rays and White Sox is most likely to go to 5 games. I think the other 3 might be sweeps.

What does it say that the teams with the best record in each league are both down 2-0? The problem of playing without intensity for the last few weeks coupled with the short division series? (Obviously they could be down 2-0 in a longer series as well, but it's not as critical.)

Alright a nice, beautiful Saturday. Can't wait to watch some playoff baseball this afternoon.

I am 1000000% with you on this. Who do we have to blow to get a game to start at a time when kids can watch it. And MLB wonders why baseball interest is down in the inner cities and Football has taken over as the sport most kids want to play. Football actually puts their games on at a time when people can watch them.

Way to go.

They are scared, and maybe rightly so, of college football.

BTW, can't count on the fucking Angels for anything. Bastards.

Cubs down early 2-0.

Has anyone ever stolen home during an intentional walk?

Has anyone ever stolen home during an intentional walk?

It would be a great time to do it:
- Catcher is out of position (especially if the batter is a righty)
- Pitcher is usually not paying that much attention to the runners, and the delivery/pitch is slower than usual
- Pitcher is probably in some shit anyway, or else he wouldn't be giving an IBB. A steal of home is probably the last thing he's worried about.

The Cubs finishing on a check swing strikeout is pretty fitting for this series.

I was pulling for the Cubs, but that was a woeful performance in the Division Series.

Was it "Manny being Manny"?

I hate that phrase btw.

Nothing really crazy that I saw, just "LA is the place to be right now" or something.

Hmm, it's not a cheese slicer, kinda reminds me of the Junkyard Dog but on steroids. Should I be watching this stuff????

Manny's postgame talk. Ouch. :eek:Yeah, MLB and Fox aren't absolutely drooling over a potential BOS-LAD WS every time he opens his mouth........

He said something like "Thank Scott (Boras) for bringing me out here. This is what happens when you are in a place you really like."

Something like that.

I usually just say, "He's a fucking dipshit, but the son-of-a-bitch knows how to hit."

I didn't hear him mention "Scott" at all, but maybe I just missed it. The end of that quote that you mention from ESPN's recap is - ""I did it before, I'll do it again," Ramirez said. "When you're relaxed and you're in a place you really like, this is what happens.""

I definately heard him say that along with a bunch of Red Sox fans and tv stations here. I cant find a link, though.

And actually Manny said "I did it before and we'll do it again." :p
