Just a note that as of late last night, the EBay cashback through Live.com has gone back up to 30% for BIN items (after being stalled at 8% for weeks).
For those unfamiliar, you basically go to Live.com and do a search for an item like ipod, wii, etc. It will take you to a page with a 30% off link for EBay for the item. Once you click that, it will redirect you to EBay and show a 30% icon at the top of the EBay page which will apply to any BIN item on EBay (not just the item you searched for). Follow the instructions to sign up for the live.com cashback and that 30% will be available for cashback in 60 days.
I posted some images and further details in this previous thread here for what to look for:
The cashback % goes up and down without any notice, so act quickly!
*edit* 10/6 - Looks like it has dropped to 20% now.
*edit* 10/13 - Back to 30% as of a couple of days ago.

I just dipped into Blu for the first time. I managed to grab a Sony BDP-S350 for a grand total of $206.96 after the eventual rebate. I had this player in my Amazon cart but was waiting for it to come down to $250 (It's gone down from $299 to $280 in five-dollar increments since yesterday). But this was too good a deal to pass up. Now I've got to think of some more high-priced things to get while this deal is so hot.

Yes, I've received 3 cashback for purchases I made on ebay.
It takes hours or days for the cashback acknowledgment in your live.com account. It takes another 60 days for a waiting period (due to returns and such). Then you can request a cashout to paypal or check and then about 2 weeks later, you should have the funds. So about 2 1/2 - 3 months total.

Click the following link, then towards the top left, click on "live search cashback" next to www.ebay.com. You should see the 30% off banner at the top of the ebay homepage.
i've got two cashbacks already as well. it does take a while for the process though, as stated above.

I had to get something else, so I grabbed an ONKYO TX-SR606 receiver. I think I got a good price. So to summarize:
206.96 = Sony BDP-S350 Blu-ray player
274.95 = Onkyo TX-SR606 receiver
481.91 = TOTAL (after rebates)
My introduction to Blu-ray costs a lot more than I was expecting, but I think I should be set for quite some time. Thanks again, OP!

Note that there isn't always a banner at the top of the ebay page. As long as you see the 30% logo after you hit BUY IT NOW, you're good to go.

Use the e-mail address on this page and send them an e-mail with the requested info stating your cashback is not showing up in your account:
I had 2 separate orders with Zappos which did not show up in my account after several days. I sent separate e-mails about each one and they responded quite quickly and it was listed in my cashback account a couple days later.

You don't always get a banner. Just click on buy it now if that's what you want and it should have the live.com discount icon on the screen before you pay.

maximum discount per purchase is $200.
So the "Sweet spot" to maximize is $667, but you can still buy higher amounts, so yes in theory you can get $200 off a gold coin purchase.
$200 purchase = $140 net
$667 purchase = $467 net
$1,000 purchase = $800 net.

Sometimes internet security programs can interfere (they sometimes filter information between page redirections, etc.). If you're using something like Norton, turn it off while you do your thing (not the anti-virus--just the firewall side). Maybe that will help?
You do have the little banner at the top of eBay's site that shows the cashback percentage when viewing the item?

Just to double-check:
Go log in on eBay, and tell it to save your ID for today.
Then, go to live.com and log into your account there.
Turn off Norton (or whatever).
Use the live.com web search for Nintendo DS (usually works for me--sometimes the Wii won't give me an eBay link).
On the top of the list of results is a sponsored ads section. The eBay ad should be there, showing some cashback info. If not, try searching for other common things, like PS3, etc..
Follow the sponsored ad link to eBay.
The banner should then be at the top of eBay's site.
At which step does this fail for you?
I used it a few days ago to get a great deal on a 60GB PS3. The hardest part for me was getting the sponsored ad for eBay to show up. I tried searching for like 30 different things before I finally got it--Nintendo DS was the one that worked for me.

For me, "quad core computer" (without quotes) gives me sponseored ads for intel, NexTag, and calibex. And on the right side of the screen, I have live.com itself, LowPriceShopper, gear-for-guys, LifeWithoutWalls, and exava.
"quad core computer" (with quotes) gives me LowPriceShopper in the main section instead of intel, and on the right side, Shopzilla and pronto replace LowPriceShopper and LifeWithoutWalls.
But, Nintendo DS is still working for me to give me the sponsored ad for eBay at the top of the main section.
I have been theorizing that the sponsored ads are adjusted either by some kind of cookie information, or by IP address (which can roughly determine your physical location).

I agree with this theory. When I would do a Live search from my work network, which is huge, the best eBay cashback link I could get was 2%. Most of the time it wouldn't return any! However, the exact same search terms from home would always yield a 30% link.

I already got screwed on this. Microsoft hasn't responded to any of my emails about it. As my first and only Live.com "cashback" purchase, I bought Echochrome for PSP from someone on ebay, a proxy for ebay.co.uk, and it showed up with the "cashback" logo all the way to the end, but the cashback never appeared in my account.
I'm guessing it's because the listing was not actually considered an ebay listing. Very shady!

In my experience, when the 25% banner is showing on EBay and I push the buy it now button, I get a "Review and Commit to Buy" page. On that page below your item and shipping prices and method of payment, there is a box which says "Microsoft Cashback 25%" and the exact dollar amount of the cashback".

Then, I click the "commit to buy" button. And all through the PayPal process, it will indicate the cashback amount also.
For your other question, I've never gotten a discount code e-mail from EBay either after all these years.

I think I've figured it out.
All the sellers I tried to buy from aren't working. You just have to look around, because other sellers do work. :hscratch: I don't know.
Also, I see that people with their own checkouts don't work, but that sucks, because I wanted to use it on a 10-pack cordless tool set for my dad for Christmas, which was $1K+. :(
Most pricey things over 500 have their own checkouts. I was going to pick up some gold or silver, but everyone's jacking up their prices due to the checkout and hoping to pocket the discount themselves. :mad: Dick sellers!
