Pushing Daisies *S2 Premiere* -- "Bzzzzzzzzz!" -- 10/01/08

"Bzzzzzzzzz!"
Spoiler:
Chuck goes undercover as a Bee Girl at a honey-based cosmetics company after their new spokesmodel is stung to death. She soon discovers that office politics are killer (literally) between the founder and the new owner. Meanwhile, Ned can't stand her growing independence or the fact that she wants to move out of his apartment. In other developments, Lily spirits Olive off to a nunnery so she won't spill Lily's deep, dark secret.

I bought the Blu-ray and I'm almost done with Season One. 2 episodes left. And yeah it looks amazing in HD.

I am really amazed that something like this is on television. It's like anything on TV right now. I can believe there's a second season and I won't believe it if there's a third one. This show is just too surreal, I'd never think that something like this could work in TV (network TV!).

So it's typical but popular?

Good show, I am also surprpised to see that a show like this got green lit.

So the writers' strike actually HELPED this show. Left the network with nothing available to replace it with and had a very short first season so new viewers can watch the home video release and easily get caught up. Both good news for a great show. I may actually watch it LIVE I'm so anxious for a new episode!

Looking forward to it. Have a season pass. I missed many of the episodes in season 1.

I'd still love to kill the voiceovers and edit tightly enough for this to fit into a 30 minute network slot. I like it, but it doesn't hold my attention nearly well enough to say I love it.

Love this show. But refresh my memory - why can't Chuck reveal to her aunts that she's alive?

Because she died, and she has to protect Ned's secret (and I presume you know about all that...) And now we know more about the "aunt's" relationship to Chuck, it would make the revelation of the secret all the more problemsome!
