Star Wars The Clone Wars on November 11th

Here is the announcement at the Star Wars official website. It'll be available on single-disc and two-disc DVD as well as Blu-Ray. There's also news of a Best Buy exclusive steelbook and exclusive DVD & Blu-Ray cover art at Target.

I wonder if they'll re-release Volume 1 and 2 of the original series.

Best buy for me. The film wasnt bad. Definitely more for a younger audience but was still enjoyable.

I'll be getting the Target Blu-Ray. I like that cover a HELL of a lot better than the other one.

I like Target's cover the best. Had the Steelbook been better, I might have went for that since I have the Original Trilogy Steelbook.

I'm going for the BB steelbook. My 4 year-old son enjoyed this in the theater.

That steelbook and the Target 2-disc look pretty sweet, but I'm not sold on the film enough to blind buy it. I might jump depending on the price, but I haven't heard many good things about it.

I'm sure he's referring to the Limited Edition Best Buy Tin that was released back in 2004.

There hasn't been a SW SteelBook release.

Yes, please re-release the original Clone Wars animated. Preferably with the whole feature on a single disc.

Disliked the movie. But I'm a SW whore and the extras are likely to suck me in.

I figured I'd hold out for used/great sale... but that steelbook is calling. I'll probably do that.

Yes, I'm buying a movie I didn't like. I'm bboisvert and I have a problem. (Audience: Hi bboisvert!)

Loved the film. Can't wait for the TV series (1 week to go!).

The Target 2-DVD version is my version of choice. I don't like Steelbook packaging...

So is this movie just the first few episodes of the new series.

Can I eventually just buy the first season of The Clone Wars TV show and essentially get the movie as part of the first season?

I thought i read somewhere that, the movie contradicted something on that TV show, so they probably wont release it again.

I really hope not. I actually ran across both Volumes used for $7.50 total the other day, but vol. 1 was scratched to hell and the artwork for vol. 2 had a piece torn out of it.

You wonder if Luca$ is going to re-release something he owns to capitalize on the resurgence of interest in said product and thus make more money off his fans!

And the original animated series contradicted something in the comics, and something in the novels, etc, etc. A little something like that won't stop Lucas from re-releasing it.

One of the original movie novelizations outright says Ben and Owen are actual brothers, and every re-printing has kept that mistake.

I imagine it will be available by Christmas, they just want this new series to have a little momentum of its own.

Well, if we want to split hairs, things in the prequels contradicted the original trilogy. Like Leia remembering her real mother.

What??? What are these contradictions that you speak of in the prequels? I think somebody should start a thread about this.
