Argento's 'Deep Red' BU versus AB editions
are there any differences between the two? Is one better than the other?
both appear to be anamorphic but it looks like the Blue Underground version has an exclusive extra and is in 5.1 sound
??

^ Wtf?
I'm sure they both utilize the exact same transfer and audio since Lustig has the rights he got from AB. I didn't know about an exclusive extra, but I'd say if you don't have the AB version already then this would be a safe purchase.

He probably means the DVD comparisons at whiggles.landofwhimsy.com - I don't think there's an entry for Deep Red right now, though.

I'm fairly certain that's it's just a reissue of the Anchor Bay version.
If you don't already own this movie, go ahead and get the BU edition. If you already own the AB edition, there's little reason to get the BU one.
