Tips from current players:

Here's Josh's general guide for player creation:

1) Chose your position

Before selecting a position, use the stats provided to pick a position that isn't too crowded. QB and RB are BY FAR the most common positions, so unless you really build properly, you are likely to never get a starting job. Teams tend to use 4 WRs with some regularity, so that could be a good "glamor" position to choose. Defensive players are usually high in demand, especially LBs and CBs.

2) Re-roll until core stats are good

Don't just take the first build offered to you. Use the "re-roll" button to try and get the best possible player. I tend to re-roll until the positions core stat (usually SPD or STR) is fairly high. A good clue is to look at the KCK/PNT/THR numbers for non-kickers and QBs. If these are at 10, you are losing a point somewhere else.

3) Level up your character to 4

This usually means purchasing flex points.

4) Think about what abilities to key for your player. Make a list of 3 core and 2 secondary stats.

5) Add equipment to your player using his player cash

Add equipment to only ONE trait (this will be hotly debated. My theory is that if you add it all at once early you will continue building other core traits while still having a relatively high boosted ability). The other reason for this is that it makes no sense as your player levels up for you to have equipment on an ability that will not reach 48.x (where it costs 2 SP to add +1). It's all about efficiency. NOTE about "custom" equipment - it is *extremely* expensive for what you get (100 FP per SP). I would hold off on purchasing this until later in your player's career.

5a) Level 16 Equipment Shift.

There is a reason that the game raises the cost to increase 1 attribute level at 48.x raw to 2 SP and not 50: because your scouting bar increases by 3 when you cross the barrier. This could potentially significantly increase the performance of your player. Until you have been using all of your boosts for one piece of equipment. At this point, you have been sticking all of your boosts onto one piece of equipment. Chances are by level 16, you have also approached 48.x on the second major stat for your character (again using a DE as an example, if STR was the first major, AGL is the second). This is when you use the sell/rebuy method. Although it costs you game $$, the advantages to your player are invaluable. Sell a single piece of equipment back to the game and rebuy the same piece, but this time boost the second major stat (for a DE, AGL). You will notice your stat bar has increase for crossing the level 50 boosted threshold. Instead of costing yourself 4 SP to move from 48.x to 50.x, you have used your boosts and not a single SP.

5b) Additional equipment shifts.

As you continue to level up, you may find that some of your more balanced builds have a third stat approaching 48.x. In the case of a DE, this may be SPD or TCK (or both). Provided you have not used a LVL24 equipment boost on the piece of equipment (costing $50k PER PIECE), you may want to again sell/rebuy and place the boost on the stat to bring you over 50. See question section for additional info.

6) Think about your player's main opponent.

For a DE, that will be the OT. Realize what type of build your opponent is likely to have. Decide what abilities best suit your player vs. his opponent. That will be STR, BLK and AGL, with VIS and CNF as secondary.

7) Build for success.

For a DE, equipment should be placed on STR. Why STR and not AGL? The OT will ALWAYS have high STR. Realize your opponent limitations. OTs will stack STR and BLK. This comes at the expense of SPD and AGL. So this is where you hit them. These first points should go to primaries and secondaries. Add no more than 5 points to skills like CNF and yes, even stamina. Stamina can be trained. A level 4 player needs no more than 15 stamina to start. SLAM your main abilities. For a DE, STR should be boosted past 25, with agility and speed as high as you can get them.

8) A Word About Stamina and the Rule of Base 10+ Level.

When building your guy, you will be tempted to use SP on and boost stamina. This has the potential to damage your player's build for levels to come. Generally speaking, if you are on d-league, the CPU will rotate players so frequently that you do not need a large amount of stamina. I have found that for d-league play, base 10 + level is a good determinative base for building stamina. That means for a level 4 player, your stamina should be 14 (10 + 4). If you train stamina, you can likely never have to add any SP onto the skill during your player's d-league career and keep up with this rule.

9) Ignore SAs for now.

Use your first points on main abilities. Add 1 or 2 if you feel appropriate, but no more. Since SAs ENHANCE the underlying skill, if you have low agility, for example, Quick Cut will have little to no effect.

10) Go to d-league.

Click on Contract Offers and you'll see three offers from D-league teams. Your player will advance quickly in d-league. I personally think the game XP multipliers are higher, and the CPU gets everyone in the game. By starting as a LVL4, you will likely be a starter. **NOTE** choose a K offer that gets you the most playing time. If everyone is above you, check when those Ks expire and pick the place with the best chance for you to play.

11) When you level up, use 3 SP on primarily ONE ability.

Rotate among your main abilities. Then use 1 SP each in a secondary ability.

12) Determine plateaus.

For a DE, by LVL 8, you should attempt to hit 40 STR, 25 SPD and 25 AGL. Much of the STR rating will come from equipment bonuses. When you hit LVL8, lower core stats to 2 and start paying attention to secondary stats.

13) Training.

Train stamina so it's not ignored. But don't put any points into it, no more than 2-3 during your next four level ups. I have also read that the game takes into account whole numbers more than fractions. This means that 18 is better than 17.99 to a higher degree than .01. If you have any "close" stats, train it overnight to push you over the top. However, be mindful of the 48.x cap. Don't cost yourself a SP by training something that will hurt you later in this regard.

14) Post level 8.

During your first season, you'll likely hit anywhere from level 11-13. Start thinking about where you are weak and adding points. Consider using every other level to slam a stat (meaning adding 4 or more SP to a single stat) and the other level to spread out your points.

15) The benefit of d-league.

Rarely does the CPU leapfrog your player even if that player is slightly higher level than you, for level 4 players. It's usually first come first serve for starters. If you are at level 4, you will likely be the starter all season, which means you don't have the pressure of having produce on the field. You are simply building XP.

16) Level 16.

If all goes well by the offseason you will be able to boost to level 16. This is entirely possible, as Sacking Machine was in fact a level 4 at the start of season 2 has been boosted to 17 for season three. If you've been regularly slamming, use these 15 points (likely mostly on Stamina if you haven't been training it) to even out your build where it is weak. If you have been alternating, do the same, slam a few stats and use the rest in different areas.

FINAL TIP:

Always remember: this is a real-life football sim. It is not Madden nor Tecmo Bowl. Build your player as you would a real NFL'er. A super fast LB with poor STR and TCK will end up pancaked. However, a LB with 30 SPD and 40 STR/TCK will make the play, every time. The most boring build is often the most successful one.

Concerns:

Q: Why should I listen to you?
A: I have created probably close to 75 players to date on GLB, and have built up just about every type of build imaginable. I have been playing GLB since late Season 1, own a USA PRO team, and GM four others. I know alot about what builds work and what builds don't on a certain player. But you are certainly free to build your player however you wish, or to simply use this guide as a starting point and go off in your own direction.

Q: Aw, crap, I wish I had read this before I spent all season building my guy the wrong way! I'm just going to retire him and create another from scratch.
A: DON'T DO IT!! There are VERY few builds that cannot be "fixed" within a few levels up, especially if boosts are available. Unless your build is completely wrong (like putting 35 TCK on your OL), I would just attempt to fix your build. The primary reason for this is that although you may have a very high rating in one stat, you may come to need that rating as you continue to level up. Use equipment shifts and attribute slamming and try to fix your build rather than abandon it.

Q: Josh, with this guide, my player will pretty much suck for an entire season.
A: Not if you are on d-league, you will likely be one of the best players. Using these builds, my developmental players routinely lead their teams. This is not a brag, most d-leaguers are bottom rung players. But you will likely only "suck" until level 8, which you will reach in about two weeks, and then you'll see the benefit of your efforts. This is a guide for building a player, not performing well early. If you want to contribute, then you will have to maintain stamina and that will take away points from other traits.

Q: Seriously, boost primarily only one stat?
A: Seriously. Because every point after 48.x costs 2 SP to move +1 on the trait, you get the best "bang for the buck" this way. This should be your primary stat - STR or SPD most generally. You should use a single piece of equipment to solely boost the secondary stat for the reasons above.

Q: Selling/rebuying sounds like a waste of money. Can't I just add on the skill to an existing piece of equipment when I level up at 16 and 24?
A: That is certainly a possibility, but there may come a time in your player's history where you wish to bring another skill up past 48.x and if you have pieces of equipment with multiple skill boosts, you may cause yourself great financial strain attempting to replace the lost boosts. Additionally, you may wish to create a second piece of same equipment (like a second visor) that boosts up another skill and use the equipments interchangeably.

Q: Do the SAs really work?
A: They do, but Bort (the game's creator) has implied many times that it takes a high number of SAs to really see an effect (5 or more of any given SA). Because the SAs come at a high cost, in order to build up to 5, you must be very careful with your player's build as every SP will really count. Do not aim for evenness across the SAs, only build up the ones that help your player.

Q: When should I create a player?
A: Be mindful of this. You don't want to waste time on D-league. If you can't create a player by the fourth game of D-league, wait until next season. You will lose a ton of game XP.

Josh's writeup on the new intense training combos

I am a big fan (as are many other GLB players) of applying slow building principles outside of traditional slow building. One of the things I do is train a secondary skill while slamming another one (not saving SP, applying as they are accrued). This allows you to continue developing your player at a fast rate when switching off one skill to another.

I was looking at my players and some of the intense combinations, especially for skills that tend to get ignored early in players development. Below are combinations that I found to be particularly helpful to developing players in this manner.

NOTE - These suggestions are good for players between levels 10-24. Anything past that, and at least one of these skills is likely to have been fully developed already. Once some of these hit 30 (CNF especially), it may be time to find another training combination. But for most players between 10 and 24, these will help. They would also work for low level players wanting to do a quasi-slow build on developmental players.

This guide also suggests that while training the intense combos, you use the 16 bonus tokens that will accrue during the season to add +4 SP onto your player. This is almost like having 1 extra boost per season!

Good intense combinations:

Wind Sprints (SPD+AGL)

QBs:

This was a hard one because the one I really wanted (CNF+AGL) is not available. You've likely SC'ed THR, VIS, STR and CNF. Never the less, mobility in the pocket benefits any QB. The SPD is not necessarily for "rushing",but for mobility as well as the AGL. Getting these up to 30 each via training would help any QB avoid sacks and help him re-adjust in the pocket to make better throws.

FBs:

Football Launcher Drills (CTH+VIS)

You have likely SC'ed STR and are working on SC'ing BLK, SPD and AGL. VIS is an excellent skill for picking up lead blocks, and catching the ball out of the backfield makes you more valuable to the offense.

HB:

Carrying Drills (CNF+CAR)

You have likely SC'ed SPD, AGL, VIS and are working on STR. CNF is one of the most underrated skills for a HB. Every HB I've seen with higher CNF seems to cut and hit the hole with more authority. Bort has also said that CAR helps with making moves and also prevents fumbles.

WRs:

Coverage Drills (JMP+VIS)

You have likely SC'ed SPD, AGL and CTH (as well as put SP into STM). That leaves these important secondary skills at low values and primed to be combo trained.

TE (Blocking):

Wind Sprints (SPD+AGL)

You've been SC'ing STR, BLK and probably getting close on CTH and working VIS up. Now it's time to make your blocking TE a factor in the passing game. A high STR TE is a valuable asset in this game given how often they get thrown to. SPD/AGL will also help with blocking DE and blitzers.

TE (Pass Catching):

Power Running Drills (STR+CAR)

The combo I really want here (STR/VIS) is unavailable as of posting time, nor is my second (VIS/CAR). So I settled on STR+CAR. You have likely SC'ed SPD, AGL and are close in CTH. STR probably hasn't seen a SP other than auto level up, but STR is helpful to a TE in the running game, for blocking, even if he's primarily a pass catcher. CAR is a helpful to all receivers for YAC and holding onto the ball (for a TE, it's likely VERY low). Both are helpful secondary skills that will make your player more valuable.

C:

Study Game Film (VIS+CNF)

You have likely SC'ed STR, BLK and AGL. CNF does double duty in preventing penalties and avoid crashes of in-game morale for getting beat for a sack or rushing loss. VIS helps to keep the C holding the block rather than getting beat by these super AGL NTs in GLB. Both are probably low and would benefit from intense training.

OG:

Wind Sprints (SPD+AGL)

You have likely SC'ed STR, BLK and put points into VIS and CNF. But your 75 STR guard has 15 SPD and AGL. That's not helping the run game or allowing the G to pick up the blitzing LB or SS. Having SPD/AGL to at least 30 (and AGL much higher), is very helpful to the G position.

OT:

Study Game Film (VIS+CNF)

You have likely SC'ed STR, BLK and AGL. CNF does double duty in preventing penalties and avoid crashes of in-game morale for getting beat for a sack or rushing loss. VIS helps to keep the OT holding the block rather than getting beat. Both are probably low.

DEs:

Study Game Film (VIS+CNF)

You have likely SC'ed STR, AGL, SPD and TCK. VIS helps the DE diagnose the play and make the right move to get around the OT. CNF keeps his in-game morale up after being pancaked or immobilized. Both skills are beneficial to DEs.

DT:

Study Game Film (VIS+CNF)

My preferred combo (BLK/VIS) is not available. My second choice (VIS/SPD) is also not available. I went with the one that has some value. You have likely SC'ed STR,AGL,TCK and have SPD pretty high as well. VIS and CNF are pretty low. VIS will help with diagnosing the play quicker. CNF will help avoid encroachment penalties and reduce the hit to in-game morale if you are pancaked.

LB:

Coverage Drills (VIS+JMP)

CB:

Possession Catching Drills (CTH+JMP)

You have likely SC'ed SPD, AGL, and VIS for your CB and these are likely low, but very helpful to a CB. JMP helps with pass deflections and CTH with interceptions. Both very valuable skills for a CB, and both probably pretty low

FS:

Force Fumble Drills (TCK+STR)

You have likely SC'ed SPD, AGL, VIS and put points into CTH. But don't forget, your FS is still a defensive player, and likely STR and TCK are very low. The FS has to make plays on RBs in the open field as well as take down WRs, who are starting to work on STR now. Plus, higher STR against a low STR WR could mean a fumble opportunity. Both are probably low enough (under 30) to benefit from this combo.

SS:

Coverage Drills (VIS+JMP)

You have likely SC'ed SPD, AGL, and moved up STR/TCK to 30s-40s. However, VIS is an excellent skill for any defender, and given the SS's role in the run defense, diving tackles should be developed. VIS and JMP take care of both of those, and both are likely low.

PK:

You have likely Sc'ed KCK, STR, and CNF and have continued to hit KCK.VIS is critical to a PK because it helps his accuracy, turning a shanked kick into 3 points.. PT:

All the games went pretty much as expected, with the exception of the Laser Cats almost pulling out a big upset. The only real interesting matchup between top seeds last season was our game.

One thing is that I think we can dial back the blitzes (yeah, I know, I'm the one who wanted more). All our sacks came from the d-line (DT's bulldozing the G or DE's outrunning the OT's) On several of the sacks / hurries, you can see the linemen get to the QB with a blitzing LB following him.

Skaro has a very good D-line. As long as the coverage holds up, we should be able to keep most teams to 21 or less.

If G's do need high VIS to pick up that blitz, it might be a good exploit (there are very few high vis G's out there right now, and even fewer high VIS guards with enough SPD and AGL to pick up the blitzer).

otter stadium update:
with prices just below 2.25x, we had another decent night.. we have now sold out all of game 2 in every section and games 3, 4, and 5 in some sections..
our next game with any open tickets is on 10/3, so we have plenty of time to continue working on maximizing ticket sells.
after lastnight, we have sold just a little over half of our tickets for the season and brought in just over 20 million dollars in ticket sells.

My D-league guy just leveled, I found it interesting that the attribute points one gets for leveling doesn't go to the training bar, but still directly to the attribute.

So w/ 10 strength, he went to 10.2 strength, instead of 10+20% in training bar. I was hoping these boosts went to the bar.

I guess it doesn't really make much difference.

You don't think so? I figure about 15 players can be had cheap because they belong to GMs, DVDTalkers, or are undercontract already. So, really we're just in need of 25 guys, not all of which are starters. So $100,000 bonuses seem reasonable, with several $50,000's for low level backups and one or two $200,000-$250,000 thrown in there.

Besides, why do people need huge bonuses? With the equipment fund, we could probably get away from bonuses all together (obviously we need to still offer bonuses to attract players, but theoretically, they're not necessary to make sure everyone has full equipment).

Plus, I figure the "value" of a lvl 25 guy will be less next season, when the higher level teams are competing over lvl 35-40 guys. Each season before 10, the value of a player at a given level seems to decrease.

But, if Groucho needs more for FA, then that's fine, we just won't finish the 200 level (those endzones are pretty low return, anyway, and they're not required for any other construction).

Question for a vet who'd like to help a relative rookie out:

Is there a new scale for where a player's stamina should be at different levels?

It seems like ever since the new season started, my players are getting dead tired at the end of the game. I could have sworn that I read somewhere that you should basically take your level, add ten, and that is an ideal number.

My DE is level 15 right now, with his Stamina at 25.09, and I'm basically sitting out every other play in the 3rd and 4th quarters due to fatigue.

Any help would be appreciated!

on first review.. Im not seeing obvious mistakes
the 2 interceptions and 3 fumbles (2 lost).. that seemed to be the big problem

on both interceptions, it looks like matta was blowing past his receiver and a pass to him may have been a touchdown.. but the pass went to other players and got picked.
i still have homerjay's 3 boosts.
i could hit vision or confidence.. but really, those levels should be good
looking at his build, Im not sure where there could be an issue

Im considering what to do with our level 32+ guys and was thinking about doing something before our next game.. but would hate to see everyone sink that much money into level 32 upgrades, if they are going to end up selling them off later

There's a thread in the main GLB forum about splitting up leagues.

It's a bad idea. If Bort does it once to deal with gutting, he'll have to do it every season or two. Then you'll have teams moving up and down the leagues based on average player lvl and not performance.

I don't know why he doesn't listen to my idea of tiered stadiums for various leagues. It's the perfect idea. If a team is gutted, then move it down to BBB where no one has a stadium and the average player level is probably around 10-15. That gives a new owner a good chance to rebuild.

BBB - 100 sidelines only (no club)
A - full bottom bowl (no club)
AA - full 100 level + 200 level sidelines (no club or luxury)
AAA - full 200 level (no club or luxury)
Pro - full stadium

The teams in BBB couldn't afford high level players, so they'd have to stay around the 10-15 mark to be able to afford an entire team. You take a gutted team at the end of the season, move it to BBB, eliminate it's stadium, then promote an extra team.

When a team is relegated, it loses stadium sections. When a team is promoted, it is allowed to build. This keeps guys from gutting AA teams and moving them to BBB and is more realistic. The Rome Braves(A) could never support the same stadium as the Atlanta Braves(Pro), but in this game, you allow that. It's like the Eastern Carolina building an 80,000 person stadium. They'd never even get remotely close to filling it. But in this game, they somehow do!

Right now, you have to be lvl 17-20 before a team is interested in your guy (unless a new capped league is introduced, which he can't do every season). People below that are screwed. If there's a league that can't afford expensive players, suddenly there's a a market for lvl 10-15 guys as a backup in the BBB leagues.

Yeah, the stadium limit is basically a salary cap. You have to lose stadium sections in order to keep it competitive.

Alternatively, they could put a maximum number of fans into the system. So you could have a 70,000 person stadium in BBB, but you'd never get more than, say, 10,000 or 12,000 show up (which is what would happen if you built a giant stadium for the Rome Braves). That prevents you from losing sections, but keeps the effective salary cap in place.

Or they could just start having salary caps. But then you'd end up with teams in BBB with hundreds of millions in the bank that they couldn't spend.

I'm still curious what will happen once the game gets into Seasons 10+. I would imagine that at some point the game would reach an equilibrium between teams and available players, such that even with massive cash it would be hard for bottom level teams to sign top tier players. I'd hate to see the game permanently changed if it turns out it was just a temporary problem.

I'm not opposed to sending gutted teams to the bottom league of their region and just bumping up the conference final loser to their place (maybe using some sort of average level or scrimmage tiebreaker to decide which of the feeder leagues sends their conference final loser?).

I do think the stadium situation is broken to some degree. Mainly, what's the point once you've maxed it out? You are flush with cash and that part of the game is essentially over forever. Maybe if there was a maintenance cost that increased with each addition, and a general deterioration over time that meant you eventually needed to start over with a brand new stadium?

I would imagine that at some point the game would reach an equilibrium between teams and available players, such that even with massive cash it would be hard for bottom level teams to sign top tier players.This is when the first generation of players start to degrade, so dynamics will be shifting as the next generation comes to the forefront. I like your idea of stadium degradation as well.

You'd think that top players would gravitate to the Pro leagues for prestige, but that's not what we're seeing now. If a good BBB team has higher income than a bad Pro team (because of fan support), then the good BBB team will have more money and better players.

They have to find a way to increase the cash differential between leagues if they want truly tiered leagues, and not just a mess of pretty close to even teams.

Manipulating stadiums or fan support seems the most realistic and easiest way to do it. Or, allow teams to sign TV contracts, with the major networks paying pro teams big bucks, while local AM radio stations pay BBB teams next to nothing.

rather than reducing the size of the lower league stadiums.. the easier way to deal with the economics would be to change it so that the higher leagues can make more off tickets and concessions and the lower leagues dont

there are plenty of minor league parks that are near the size of major league parks in baseball.. in football, many many of the college stadiums are much larger than the pro stadiums. etc..

but the minor league parks cant get away with charging as much for their games.. so while they could possibly bring in as many fans, their total revenue would be a fraction of the pro team.

since they scored 21 in the first.. they basically were up by enough to favor the backups the entire game..

these could be adjusted before games that should be a blowout, so that the starters get to stay in a little longer.. but on the same note, it does give the backups a chance to play more in a game and get some stats of their own.

If Bort ever adds in the fame and prestige factors that might change, it also might change once players actually start deteriorating. It's still so early in the game's lifecycle that we don't know how the mentality of teams and players might change once the oldest players start deteriorating.

I agree that there should be some way that lower level teams can't make anywhere near the money Pro teams can. I like your idea of capping the maximum number of fans a team at a lower level can draw, and if coupled with a maintenance cost for additional construction that would limit the growth that lower level teams could experience until they moved up.

I also think stadium construction costs should be dramatically increased. There's no reason that even a twikoffian owner should be able to essentially build a max stadium in 3 seasons at the lowest tier. Jack up those costs, have the stadium wear down over time (with the price fans are willing to pay also start going down as the stadium gets older) and force teams to buy new stadiums eventually. If you've got $500 million in the bank then maybe you can afford to buy a brand new fully maxed out stadium, otherwise you'll have to start with something less and rebuild it. Make the stadium system cyclical so that it's always something team owners need to consider and be planning for.

21.9 $/pp on concessions. Nice. It's fun to see the big concession numbers now that we've almost doubled our stadium size.

Support is getting up there: 95/37/8 I don't know how anyone gets to 100/100/100. Those damn high end customers never want to support our team.

We're already sold out for the next home game, and have only 4000 endzone seats for the 3rd home game, so I'm holding on prices. We're selling only about 1000 per day, but that just means we're at the top of the demand distribution.

Ive deposited enough cash in the equipment fund to cover level 32 upgrades for our players that are currently 32+. I also raised their allowances.

1. only upgrade your old equipment if you plan to stick with it for awhile. if you are planning to make a switch to the new equipment soon, then it wont do much good to upgrade the current.

2. if you have enough training credits to train today, and were planning to.. be sure to train BEFORE upgrading your equipment. The EQ Fund is set to take from the players bank first, and then offset with whatever else is needed for the fund. so it will clean you out. You should make enough on daily salary to cover intense training though, so by tomorrow you will have enough again.

Hello! Ok so I joined this at the beginning of the season. Currently level 2 on my way to being level 3. Currently in a D-League. How long should I expect to be in there before venturing out?

Do the DVDtalker have just the one team? Will they be recruiting the next sesaon? Will I be far enough along to be considered?

you want to make the most of your dleague time.. because youll be getting max xp from playing time.. something that would be hard for a lower level player to get on a human team..
by next season, youll most likely to be too high to spend another season in dleagues.. so youll venture out at that point..
there are actually 5 or 6 dvdtalk teams now.. ranging at different levels.. but your first season, youll probably need to get on a capped team, to be able to get playing time.. not sure if any dvdtalkers are currently on the waiting list to get one of the next rounds of capped teams.
one thing though, as you go higher, everything moves slowly.. so being new, its easier for you to catch up than for us to pull away.

Scouting bars for players and teams is only affected by raw score...which means it was likely you Twik boosting your two guys that did it.

too many picks, not enough production in the fourth quarter, and that final drive by anchorage was way too long and we just couldn't stop them. I guess a 1 point loss just means that you can win just didn't win today. I was taking a quick glance and there are still tactics that we are flirting with, but it is dissapointing to see that there wasn't one particular rule that we could add that would of made a for sure difference. Usually Josh and I can look and be like "we screwed this up lets not do that anymore" but not as obvious today.

This loss doesn't bother quite as much as a few last season were mistakes I made contributed I think we played a great team, and our qb struggled, defense struggled a bit and we still almost won.

The one thing that sucks about being a good team is how disappointing each loss is.

Ricin needs a little more stamina because matta had more plays and better levels. I think that the play distribution was good for the WR with the new depth chart but as always I am open to more suggestions

Spicolli - fix the 2 min. drilll issues. We gave up a decent opportunity at the end of the first half because we ran twice, costing us two TOs and forcing the FG.

it was a timing issue the seconds wasn't high enough the outputs was right. The only question I have is do I have to move that output up to the top of the list, or does it take precident because there is special circumstances.

ticket sells have been on autodrive for a few days now, after the first few games sold out and we were trying to maximize profits on the remaining tickets.. I believe BT is squeezing every last penny out of our fans. literally standing out front of the stadium, turning them upside down, and collecting whatever falls out of their pockets :up:

all sections are sold out for the next game.. and pretty close to complete for the following. but since that one isnt till 10/7, there is no rush.

so far this season, we have made $22,004,553.10 on ticket sales alone.. and we still have 182,653 tickets to sell (261507 have been sold).

hopefully last night's concessions wasnt a fluke.. because i could get use to 24+ $ pp :banana:

BT also has been working with the army ticket sells.. looks like not only did they go ahead and buy up all the expansion seating.. but also turned around and sold all the tickets for the next couple games :up:

You know what's worse then losing? Not being able to do anything about it for next time. I mean, I'll have one training session before the next game and that won't help anything. So basically, maybe twice a season when I level up can I actually make a difference one way or the other. It's almost like I spend money on this game so others can use me as a pawn and get enjoyment out of what they do.

Yeah the Army lost learned a lot on what we need to do for more tactics. I have been adding stuff in gradually, but there is a list of things needed right now. Limerick is a good team, the worst part is we have another really tough game ahead, but then it gets easier for a bit.

I've made a couple updates to advanced equipment to help make it a little more worthwhile. Updates are in the training FAQ, but the main change is:

- Upgrades cost 8 bonus tokens + cash instead of 10 BT's.
- Upgrades give you a +1 to any SA or % chance skill on the item, along with the +1 to an attribute.
- Selling back an upgraded advanced item gives all the Bonus Tokens used on it back.

I'm still trying to figure out some way to have the old equipment be able to be used to upgrade the new equipment or something so older players have the ability to transition to some of the new EQ easier, but everything come up with so far ends up having some sort of loophole that makes it too easy to have ridiculous gear or get too much cash or something. Will keep thinking on that part.

it is starting to look like we will need to adopt special equipment sooner than later. 8 tokens (equal to the 2x4 SP) plus 1 attribute, plus +1 SA or % bonus. This now seems like the way to go, on at least 1 piece.

Maybe now instead of using the +4 SP, I will get my 8 bonus, then go to normal and check out the store for a bit.

Question: I will have 4 tokens for the +1 SP and bonus. Can I use the bonus today, and it will stay in effect until the next game? I am not sure if I will be able to log on tomorrow before the next Dalek game.

i dont like the idea of having to do normal training in order to get the normal stuff though.. that part sucks.. and probably having to do quite a bit, in order to find good pieces

or just doing 1 piece of advanced, and 3 pieces of old equipment?

I was planning on doing 1 special, 3 normal.

Although, with the 8 tokens may allow a d-leagure to work with 2 pieces, and keep them up to date.

With the higher player, I think it will depend on what the future has in store for the combining equipment.

Does the 8 special tokens the only requirement for upgrading special? If there is no level requirements, then maybe upgrading a singe piece twice a season is the way to go.

just a heads up.. we are going to try and cut down on the interceptions by putting more into vision than strength.. so we need our receivers and tightends to ease off speed some.. wont do any good for them to blow down the field, if homer isnt going to be able to make it to them....
we would be better off working on improving the receivers running ability for yards after the catch.. I'd like to see them get their strength and carrying up so they can break tackles.. that said, i wouldnt mind being able to pass to the backs out of the backfield more as well. I dont think the receivers have to worry about the drops as much.. we have good receivers, and hopefully the changes Im planning to homer will take care of the drops and we can just worry about the receivers running after the catch.

if that was the case.. i would avoid one that had stamina attached to it.. since you probably wont ever hit the caps on those.. that +1 is kindof a waste

The only bad thing about designed hb pass plays is that they usually suck the only time I see it work is if it is a check down play, or if your playing a shitty team.

Ok I was looking at one of my guys he has a piece of equipment that is +2 agility, and +2% beating fake chance or something or other don't remember now that I type this. But here is the thing If I sold the equipment it would be $4000 so I know it wasn't super cheap but not overly expensive either. But to upgrade it is 8 tokens, and $500 and that seems a little low to me. Also the +1 for the upgrade is on any stat to answer twik' previous question

matta with 2 long td receptions.. 72 yards to get us started.. and another 48 to pad his stats..

their 2nd touchdown came in the 4th qtr, with out backups in.. since we had more than a 21 point lead.

of course.. this was one of the easier teams we'll play.. and we have a really big game coming up next..

I hope everyone has saved up their temp boost for this next game.
