Vampire Romance Novels?
I would like some recommendations for decent vampire romance novels. I've read the Twilight series by Stephenie Meyer, and the Vampire Diaries by LJ Smith (both for teens). I've also read all of the Charlaine Harris Sookie Stackhouse novels, and all of MaryJanice Davidson's Queen Betsy novels (by far my favorite vamp books out of all of them). I've also read one Kresley Cole book.
Any recs?

I've read an appalling number of vampire romances. My overheard my daughter telling her friend it wouldn't be Wednesday if mom wasn't reading vampire erotica. They're not all erotica, but I guess that's the impression my daughter has . . .
Blackdagger Brotherhood series by J.R. Ward
Blood Ties Jennifer Armintrout (not same as the Blood Ties TV show which was based on Tanya Huff's Victoria Nelson series, which I also liked)
Anita Blake series by Laurell K. Hamilton (I read the first one and liked it, though I've heard the later ones have almost all sex and no plot. It sounds better than those kinds of books actually are. It happened to her Meredith Gentry series, and I found the last ones almost unreadable.)
My favorite was the Sookie Stackhouse series, but you've already read them.`I haven't read the Queen Betsy books--I'll check them out.
Have you read The Host? Not a vampire book, but I actually liked it better than the other Stephanie Meyers books.

Same general genre, but I have been reading the Kim Harrison series with the first book "Dead Witch Walking." Otherwise, if you want to look for similar books to say, Charlaine Harris, what I have been doing is going to amazon.com and typing in one of her books and at the bottom there is a "If you like this author, you may also like..." I've gotten a lot of great recommendations from that

I would recommend the Argeneau vampire series by Lynsay Sands. She has finished all the books in that series and is working on other characters now. I've read all 9 and loved them all. some of them I read multiple times. It helps to read them in order. word to the wise dont look at the family tree in the newer books until the book is finished. they give away a little too much.

I definitely second Lynsey Sands Argeneau series.
You may also want to try the House of Night series by PC Kast and Kristen Cast though it is aimed at teens.
not vampires but I really liked Patricia Briggs Mercy Thompson series though more action less romance.
Rachel Caine's Morganville series is also pretty good though not as much romance
Laurell K Hamilton's Anita Blake is also definite more romance the more the series goes on.
Katie Macalister has a good vampire series called The Dark Ones.
Erin McCarthy's Vegas Vampires series is also pretty good.
Kerrelyn Sparks has a good Love At Stake series.

I LOVED the Twilight saga. Try reading Night World. Can't remember the author but there are 3 books out and she is working on the 4th. Also try Karen Marie Moning's books, Darkfever, Bloodfever, Faefever and soon to come is Dreamfever. It is absolutely wonderful.

Vampire Academy series by Richelle Mead. The 4th book is due this summer. We went to her signing last month, and we are looking forward to getting her new one.

I have read both these series and recommend them. The Hamilton series does get pretty explicit later on in the series but they are entertaining books. The world is pretty rich and developed.
I am a big fan of the Kim Harrison series. That is one that got better as time went on.

I was not a fan of the Vampire Diaries. I don't think I even finished it then again I have a huge backlog. I am hoping the Tv show will be better.
