I read Jamie S. Rich's DVD review of An American in Paris: Two-Disc Special Edition at http://www.dvdtalk.com/reviews/read.php?ID=34668 and...when I first saw this musical in 1951 at age 14 I wasn't really impressed (especially with the ballet). I now own the original dvd and consider it one of my all-time favorite musicals. This review is spot-on and I'll be buying the new Special Edition.
