Which movies do you think could use, benefit, or even need a sequel/prequel?
1. Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy (more books in the series)
2. 2010 (more books in the series)
3. Eragon (left hanging and more books in the series)
5. Incredible Hulk (another one with Leader would be nice)
6. Passion of the Christ (prequel needed)
7. They Live (this movie felt like a tease with something more epic to come)

The Golden Compass really needs a sequel (or a better ending). I didn't like the movie much, but the ending really leaves the viewer hanging. It felt like they just cut the movie before it was supposed to end.

I havent' seen it, but I think that it was always expected to be a trilogy or something, but given lousy box office returns that pretty much killed that idea

Ubreakable. Shamalamadingdong's best and most underappreciated film is the first act of a superhero film (with a tacked-on ending). I wouldn't mind seeing a second and third, not one bit.

Does The Godfather II count as a prequel? Because if it does, then you're wrong. :)
I'd love to see sequels to the following:
Big Trouble In Little China
Forrest Gump
E.T.

I think it's mentioned in his commentary but director Chris Weitz pretty much slammed New Line for pretty much editing the film themselves, without his participation - wonder if his cut is as bad New Line suggests, their cut wasn't any better IMO.

THE OMEN 3.
I know about THE OMEN 4, but after the Anti-Christ is defeted and the devil chained up for 1,000 years and then released for one last battle. That would be a good c.g.i. fx movie and of course the happy ending.

I think I speak for many when I say that we were thrust a bit too abruptly into the world of Naboo and the Gungans in SW: Episode 1. I don't feel that we got enough of Jar Jar's background. What was he like as a child? Since he was exiled for being clumsy, there must have been LOTS of humorous examples of his clumsiness, and perhaps even some pathos. I think a SW prequel-prequel that focused on those would really flesh out his character, and indeed the whole SW universe.

The Vito Corleone backstory only takes up half the film, so I personally wouldn't label it a prequel.

Not if you saw it like the military guys planning to attack Imagination Land :)
And I'm assuming the wink because you're acknowledging that "nuke the fridge" has "nuked the fridge", right? Good god, do I hate that expression.
The only good to come from it is that internet geeks (myself proudly included) now know how to survive a thermonuclear blast at point blank range. :rock2: -wink-

No disagreement here. In fact, "Gump & Co." was one of the WORST books I ever read.
I was hoping more for an original screenplay for the sequel.

It really is a bad book, but listening to the audio book with actor Will Patton read it makes it less iritating.
