No. I don't watch Pearl Harbor related movies, Civil War movies, Vietnam movies, or anything of that nature on their respective days.
A sad event, yes. But, to paraphrase Jimmy Stewart's character from Rear Window: "It's just another Thursday. The calendar's full of 'em."

United 93 is one of the most powerful films I've ever seen. But I'm not going to wait til Sept. 11th to revisit it. I'll re-watch it whenever I feel I'd like to.

No more "9/11 related" films for me after seeing "Flight 93" in the theater. I just don't need that kind of grief.

I've watched United 93 quite a few times since I saw it in the theater, and it's still heartbreaking to watch. Watching the news coverage yesterday morning was enough for me...

EDIT: Although I will add that it's very sad that 9/11 has become so politicized and so many awful things have been done in its name that I simply don't want to hear the phrase uttered ever again.
Hopefully the memory of these past years will fade and I'll be able to discuss the tragic event without the associated baggage, but alas I fear that day is still a long ways off.

You know, I watched both of these last year around this time. I watched World Trade Center late Sept. 10, and United 93 the next day. The strange thing was when I started watching them I didn't even realize what the date it was. I had recorded both of them onto my HD-DVR and they had been sitting for a while. Odd how it happened that way.

I've had this movie sitting there for ages and finally saw it today. A special on 9/11 last night prompted me to finally see it. That is an excellent film that I never want to see again. Too raw and emotional. The documentary with the families was heartbreaking. I tossed it out after I saw it. I can't believe how it can bring you right back to that day 8 years later.
I have World Trade Center on HD. Not quite as good but compelling in it's own way. I may watch that again since I have it.

Decided to watch World Trade Center I think I have a documentary some where but I don't feel the need to dig it out after watching these two. Very emotionally draining.

I've been watching some of the NatGeo specials on the conspiracy angle. I don't think I can watch United 93 again without feeling like I was punched in the gut.

I haven't seen the whole thing, but one time while flipping the channels, I came across United 93 and watched the last 10 minutes of it.
I spent the next half hour in a ball in my chair shaking and crying. I intend to see the whole thing someday, but it will fuck me up.

There is no way to watch that without feeling that way. It's almost documentary the way it puts you in the seat. You really want to cry, watch the extras where the actors have to meet the family members of the person they are portraying. I don't think there was a dry eye in the bunch including me.

I'm watching Jean Claude Van Damme movies tonight.
I saw 911 with my eyes that day. No need to relive it with the way these programs put moody sad music...not worth the heartache.
I relive it in my mind forever.

I've teared up watching movies every now and then but not that often. I haven't even cried at funerals. Again, just teared up a bit. United 93 caused me to ball my eyes out for the last 10 minutes of the movie and for at least another 10 minutes after it was over. I've never been that emotional in my entire life. Part of it was sadness, but big part of it was anger. I've only seen it once and might not ever watch it again, but I just remember being so ANGRY while I was watching it, especially near the end when I obviously knew what was going to happen.

I've yet to see either one of these movies.
