DVD Talk review of 'Asylum'

I read Michael Zupan's DVD review of Asylum at http://www.dvdtalk.com/reviews/read.php?ID=34613 and... I agree. After an interesting set-up, the films 'monster' ruined it by trying to be Freddy ala wise-cracking as he cured\killed his patients. Too bad because had he'd been handled differently it might have been a better movie. Oh and whatever happened to the obnoxious RA??? He just vanished!

Yeah. The film could have incorporated the killer in a way that stuck much more to being darker, a little more mysterious... and they even showed him that way briefly. He could have been really creepy. Unfortunately they just switched it up entirely. Glad you agree. For a direct to DVD horror film, it started loads better than a lot of other made for home stuff, but it just fell apart.
