Night of the Living Dead of course, though I've always had a soft spot for Return of the Living Dead - a funny, tongue in cheek B-pic.

DAWN OF THE DEAD (1978) is my favorite movie so of course that is the answer. of the ones you listed the only one i found to be a bit of a chore to watch was CITY OF THE LIVING DEAD. the rest i could watch any day any time.

Return Of The Living Dead (1985), although quite a few on the list give it a good challenge.

My vote is for Shaun of the Dead followed closely by Dawn of the Dead (1978).

Had to go with Night with Dawn a close second. Night just scared me too much as a kid to ever forget it's place in my horror hierarchy.

As much as I love Shaun I have to give props to:

Fulci's Zombi 2 - it's highly atmospheric, gory as sin, and actually scary.

My vote - Dawn of the Dead 1978, another great zombie flick not on list Living Dead at Manchester Morgue

or Val Lewton's 'I Walked with A Zombie' - talk about ultra creepy and a classic

Dawn is a classic, but I found the pacing of the film to be little off - there's a section in the middle that drags and then to off balance it, the motorcycle gangs comes into the film to wake us up, cue the cheezy Goblin music track.

Deathdream is a zombie film of sorts, and well worth seeing. A spooky, atmospheric film perfect for late nite viewing.

My favorites:

1. NOTLD (68)
2. DOTD (78)
3. Let Sleeping Corpses Lie aka The Living Dead at Manchester Morgue
