From dvdtimes.co.uk (http://www.dvdtimes.co.uk/content.php?contentid=68789): Metrodome have announced the UK Region 2 DVD release of The Last House on the Left (3-Disc Ultimate Edition) on 13th October 2008 priced at £19.99 RRP. Wes Craven's infamous 1972 horror is presented uncut and uncensored on UK DVD for the first time.

Disc 1

* Feature Commentary by writer/director Wes Craven and Producer Sean S.Cunningham
* 2nd Feature Commentary by stars David Hess, Marc Sheffler and Fred Lincoln
* 'Celluloid Crime Of The Century' making of… documentary (40 mins)
* 'Scoring Last House…' featurette with David Hess 'Krug Conquers England' charting the theatrical tour of the first ever UNCUT screening of the film in the UK

which is a very good documentary. As for the feature film commentary: ugh, simply horrid.

Well, I already have Going to Pieces, but I've been waiting for a decent version of this film to surface in the UK or USA. I think I'll probably pick up this one.

i just saw this at DVDEmpire, but i really would like this in an R1...is that likely?

I believe Anchor Bay put out the R2 UK 2-Disc. That release was cut I believe by around 30 seconds, but the R1 release was not. This is literally the first time the film will be released in the UK fully uncut (which I believe the R1 disc is).

Well, no - the last UK edition still had cuts in the film. This looks to be the first time the UK is getting the US cut.
