I think this is a really good idea, but I don't see many selling at such a high price, although I am thinking about picking up "doug" and "Rocko's Modern Life"...

Holy crow, I just saw this on tvshowsondvd. The prices aren't that exciting, but if the reviews are good, I might just replace my custom dvds of Doug (edited and cleaned up obsessively from caps off of Nicktoons TV several years ago). Rocko, too...maybe.

Yeah, I could justify the price if these were complete seasons.. there with three of the Nickelodeon-era of Doug, I believe.. and three for Rocko. Man that is some shit.
Speaking of Doug, it's been on MTV Tr3s at like 7am during the week. Can't say I was expecting that.

I'm pretty tempted to get Rocko's Modern Life for a few reasons. The first being, this is the one Nickelodeon show that I want on DVD above all else, and I wouldn't hesitate to say that this is my most waned TV Show on DVD period. So there's that. Also, I feel like perhaps if Nickelodeon and Paramount see a decent amount of sales of these shows, it might give them some incentive to release full seasons/series (although I wouldn't hold my breath for that). I'm not happy with this release, but considering this is the best we might can for a long time, I may bite. I still want Doug and Hey Arnold on DVD, but I can't justifying paying $40 for those ones.

I'd be more willing to pay ~$20 each, but i still think the most logical price point would be between $15-20. Considering most of them are either 70 minutes or just under 120 minutes, that's very pricey.
Cut the prices in half then we'll talk

I need to say with Rocko's Modern Life...
Hands down, my favorite Nick Toon. One of, if not my ultimate favorite cartoons of the 90s. I've seen all 52 episodes 100 times a piece, and have all of them recorded from Nicktoons Network.
I guarantee these Burn-On-Demand titles, even since it is best-of, will be edited.. even if it's not as hacked as the Ren & Stimpy releases. There's no WAY I can justify these prices unless they would release uncut versions of "The Good, The Bad, and The Wallaby", "Road Rash" (seen below), and include the seldom seen "Leap Frogs".
Joe Murray is trying to get the rights back to release his own set.. so I know if that happens, honestly I'd pay anything.
Here's one of the classic cut scenes..

I'd like to see the Third season of Pete and Pete available, but I like the idea of burn on demand TV available, especially for more obscure cult shows that might not be viable for a large scale commercial release. I think overall it's a step in the right direction, even if the titles aren't ones that interst me at this point and time.

Hopefully they aren't using these to gauge interest for a future real releases.
There is a bunch of stuff in the nickelodeon catalog that I would buy in an instant, but not at those prices for burn on demand stuff. I already have bootlegs of most of it, and those will work for me until there is an official release.
