Amazon.co.uk has a great deal on Prime Suspect Complete Collection (series 1 through 7, 10 dvds) at over 80% off. With VAT removed and added shipping costs it came to just over 18 GBP!

Does anyone know why there's also a "Complete Collection" listing for a 9/1 release at a much higher price?

There are quite a few re-releases of recent ITV stuff coming out soon in the UK. I've read that the Prime Suspect set that's on sale is the older version, and that it's had all the individual episodes edited together. Perhaps the newer version will have the episodes uncut with all their credits intact, which would explain the discrepancy in running times...?
