I believe these dont have the full supplements of the criterion version according to some forums I have read, if anyone wonders. According to criterion forum they say they have confirmed with criterion it will only have trailers.

Yeah, still a good price for anyone who wants just the films.

I ordered it. Why not. I got Rififi from hollywood video for 4 buck and I have the old third man. Wonder if it will be the new transfer of third man. I barely have time for movies let alone extras anymore.

You might as well wait until the 20% off sale, it should begin three weeks or so after this is released, and you'll save $9.71.

Maybe, maybe not. Amazon's offering this set for $134.99. If DD actually ships this for $48.59, I'm not going to quibble over $9.71.

In for one. I have two of the films already but only one is Criterion. Looks to be a really good selection of films. Definitely worth it for the titles I don't already have.

Yeah, I think it is pretty unlikely that this price will remain for another 9 weeks. If you want it, get it now I say.

Didn't notice it was a pricing mistake, since DD gives a list price of $58.95. Looks like the set also has an exclusive film, Murderous Maids. Has anyone seen it?

Thanks! In for 1. Looking forward to seeing these.

I'm in - price per film is practically like picking them up at Big Lots! I seldom look at the extras.

It's not exclusive, it was released on HVe

For anyone interested in which 10 films are included, they are...

Army of Shadows
Au Hasard Balthazar
Band of Outsiders
Billy Liar
Discreet Charm of the Bourgeoisie
Mafioso
Murderous Maids
Rififi
Third Man
Touchez Pas Au Grisbi

If I didn't have the movies I want from this set already, this would be an incredible deal...unfortunately I already have them. I guess sometimes it pays to wait.

Placed an order. I have three of the titles already, but it's still a great deal for the remaining seven. It will be interesting to see how quickly DD changes the current price, and if they indeed honor the orders confirmed.

What have I done to deserve all this noir stuff I wasn't looking for, but at this price I cannot pass it up?
Special note for Au hasard, Balthazar: it was part of an order with DD I placed too late for the Criterion BOGOF to be applied to it.

It pays to be late, at least sometimes.

Bit. Although after the last experience, I had sworn I would never do business with DD again. But at this price, its gotta be had. thanks, OP

You must be the tenth person I've seen post something similar, most recently in the DD B1G1F Criterion thread. And for every person that admits as much there's probably a dozen or more that break their vows to never do business again with DD without saying so.

It's my opinion that this lack of fidelity to one's word on the part of Americans, as evidenced by this and similar comments, is the cause of the present housing crisis, and is the biggest direct threat to the institution of marriage in the United States ever faced.

I ask you does the economic collapse of the United States and the creation of millions upon millions of single parent households really mean less to you than getting a good price on this box set?

Won't somebody please think of the children?

You mean like in "I swore I'll be faithful to my wife, but such a hottie, with no strings attached, this has to be had"?

I've never had a single problem with DD. But I like to think I stick to my values. I don't shop at bestbuy.com or circuit city anymore.

The misprice has now been fixed, now selling for $114.15. It was at the lower price long enough to make it the site's best-selling DVD, though.

I checked (of fear for not being the same item)- even though the item description in the order is a bit broken, it IS the same item, and therefore cost me $48.59, already on its way.
Thanks OP.
