any fans of "Amal"?

just curious if anyones seen 2007's "Amal" (not "F#$@ing Amal"), and what they thought of it?
I loved it, but ive heard mixed reactions. i just really loved the story, and the main guy especially.

That's nice to hear.
Usually these types of movies are typically lacking on the plot end, and heavier on the "action."

"action"? i think your thinking of something else. this isn't remotely an action movie. it's a drama.

I tried to see if my girlfriend would give Amal a shot last night, but she just looked at me funny.

If you go, be sure to use the rear entrance.

yeah, come to think of it, there were hardly any shitty big budjet low talent remakes, ridiculous sequels, boring tv show adaptations, big huge explosions, bad dialogue, cheap regurgitations of overused predictable stories, etc, in ANY of the Canadian movies this year. how stupid can we be?! how do we expect to make any money back?! i didnt see a single advertisement for a cell phone or a Walmart in any either! jeeze. us canadians sure do suck at making good movies. we sure aint no Hollywood! darnit.

I didn't read it as "anal" but I did think it was about that other movie.
