Newsradio - The Complete Series (http://www.tvshowsondvd.com/news/NewsRadio-The-Complete-Series/10242) 12 DVD set - 5 Seasons
Sanford & Son - The Complete Series (http://www.tvshowsondvd.com/news/Sanford-Son-The-Complete-Series/10239) 17 DVD set - 6 Seasons
Good Times - The Complete Series (http://www.tvshowsondvd.com/news/Good-Times-The-Complete-Series/10238) 17 DVD set - 6 Seasons
I posted these together as a warning. The MSRP is a cheap $59.95 but they are most likely in that same crappy packaging (http://www.tvshowsondvd.com/news/Site-News-Worst-DVD-Packaging-Ever/9813) that Soap & What's Happening Complete Series sets came in.

I'll take the Newsradio Complete Series and I can deal with the crappy packaging if the MSRP is that cheap.

Wow, $60 SRP for Newsradio? I'm impressed. It'll be even cheaper with online discounts and such. Unfortunately I already own all five seasons. Just picked up five a few weeks back.

Very, very cool. I've held off on Newsradio, and now my patience looks to be be rewarded. Big time.

Wow... that packaging is terrible. Terrible. LOL that even with all of the corner-cutting, it still turned out 2x thicker than it needed to be. Looks like they went super-cheap with a one-size-fits-all approach. Yikes.
At $60 retail, this is definitely a great way for people to grab Newsradio who may have not jumped yet. But I already own it and I can't picture 'upgrading' to that packaging. Even though I love saving shelf space.

Same here. Season 5 is more or less useless to me and will basically collect dust, but seeing as how the season sets go for $30 each on Amazon, I can deal with having it.
And yeah, that packaging is not so hot, but seeing as how all the discs are going into their own sleeves while the box will be put into storage, it's not a concern to me. Though I do sympathize with those who keep everything together.

Looking forward to NewsRadio. Sucks about the packaging though. I might just get two-disc slim cases to hold all the discs instead of that crappy hub packaging. I think six of those would fit without a problem.

I'll probably do that for NewsRadio.

Count me in for Sanford & Son... Great price considering individual volumes were like $30 each when first released.

+1 No WAY I could have waited for the series set! I've played those DVDs probably more than any other! Gazziza Dilznoofus Crezappy!
And those of you who claim to not want to watch S5 - there were several very funny episodes. And I'll give them credit, they certainly managed to wrap up the series nicely.

No, no there weren't.

I'll agree with you on that.

Come on... "Stinkbutt"? "Flowers for Matthew"? "Spooky Rapping Crypt"? No?

No. I can't remember the episodes by title, but the only ones I really liked outright were the S5 opener with the aftermath of Bill's funeral, and the episode (think it was the next one) where Dave came under the spell of the white noise machine.
That's not to say the other episodes don't have their moments, because they do, but it's pretty disappointing when you laugh once or twice during an episode, as opposed to constantly laughing throughout. After Hartman's death, the show went from "smart workplace comedy with bits of surrealism" to "whacky and occasionally cartoonish 100% of the time." Not to mention the silly idea that Jon Lovitz was an adequete replacement for Hartman; Lovitz can be funny, but his style of comedy did not mesh well with the rest of the cast.
I will watch S5 again, just to see if any of it's grown on me, but I doubt it.
