I own the original 2-Disc SE that's $19.94 on Amazon new. It's a great set, but I'd have to guess that Superbit Deluxe has a noticably better transfer, since the original 2-Disc crammed a pan-and-scan transfer on the same disc as well.

I'll add, that the commentary is the only feature I know of dropped on the Superbit Deluxe from the other SEs, but to be honest, it's crap. Richie and Vaughn laugh about people they know on screen and seem to be laughing at injokes most of the time. There are a few laughs, but not nearly enough.

And according to this, the so-called "Deluxe Edition" released in 2006 is nothing more than the Superbit version repackaged. So essentially there are really just two releases:

#1: 2001 2-disc "Special Edition" release
#2: 2002 2-disc "Superbit" release

The cheaper single-disc version is just the 1st disc of the original SE release, and, as I said before, the "Deluxe Edition" is just the Superbit release in a different package. Which one of the two 2-disc releases to get depends on whether you want the commentary track (on release #1) or you want the slightly better picture quality (on release #2).
