Batman Begins or The Dark Knight

Which did you like more? After one viewing of TDK, I think Begins is slightly better. I really enjoyed the origin story of the character. I have a feeling most are going to vote for TDK, but lets see...

Your feeling is right. One look at the Best Superhero Movie poll and it's pretty obvious. But since that's the only thread here on Movie Talk that even mentions The Dark Knight, at least we now have another one.

I vote The Dark Knight.

I loved both, but The Dark Knight by a country mile. It improved on everything that was established in Batman Begins.

I'll take The Dark Knight over Begins. I didn't think the origin story was that great. Liam Neeson as Ra's Al Ghul? zzz...zzz...zzz

I love them both. BB was a great origin story. Without BB, you don't get to have TDK. But TDK is probably a better movie.

"Begins" is as great an origin story as anyone could have hoped for, but TDK is just...sublime. The movie still leaves me speechless.

Another thread?

This poll gives you your answer. The Dark Knight is beating all of the other movies combined.

At least be original and ask which movie has the best Bat Suit or something.

Its the superheroes version of the Godfather trilogy. The sequel surpasses the original. Lets hope the third doesn't end up like godfather part three.

TDK is 10 times better then BB, but they both work as a perfect tandem. BB is a pure setup movie now to me, as it really works well as a great intro into the origin of Batman and Gotham City. TDK has the luxury of needing zero setup, and just get right into the story. TDK is a much more polished movie, a better edited movie, and BB lacks that great villain that TDK has with The Joker. Like BB, love TDK, but you need both.

The Dark Knight - 10/10. Best movie of 2008, and one of the best of this decade.

Batman Begins - 4/10. Overrated as hell, IMO.

Still like BB more... not to take anything away from TDK, it's a remarkable achievement, but I like the structure, pacing and story better in BB.

Ditto. And this is no disrespect towards TDK as it was a very good movie. In fact, I'd say that HL's Joker is one of the best movie villians of all time. I just found Begins a little more enjoyable and liked the origin story a tad better.
