Best Trilogy of all time?

So the best picture movies of the last 10 years got me thinking, many voted for ROTK, as a vote for the LOTR trilogy.

Its been now 5 years since the LOTR chapter ended, I know many here loved it, how has it held up? What are your favorite trilogies?

This forum has become almost useless over the past few weeks with these constant "ranking" and "favorites" threads, all of which are nothing but duplicates of numerous older threads.

I voted for Star Wars, athough Lord of the Rings is close. In terms of consistency I believe Bourne trilogy deserves a mention.

I did a search but either A) the thread didn't have poll options or B) the thread is 5 years old. Thought it was okay to make a new topic since its been several years since it was brought up.

I have no problems with new polls or discussions to replace ones that are over a year old. Seems silly to repeatedly bump old threads on a topic. That, and I don't see how these render the forum useless. There's plenty of good discussion to be had in them.

This one was an obvious repeat, but the 'best of year x' threads have been very interesting and I enjoy the discussion. Too fucking bad if someone doesn't like them.

Yeah I obviouslly don't want to piss off the moderators or what not, but maybe people want to change their votes from 3-4 years ago, or maybe there are new trilogies that have come about in the recent past, so it wasn't even a option (Although I totally dropped the ball on the Bourne trilogy).

I always thought when people say, do a search before you post something, It was something that was recently posted, not something that was posted 5 years ago.

I'm not a moderator in this forum, and even if I were I wouldn't care if you pissed me off. I don't come here for the candy and puppies, if you get my drift.

Collectively as a whole? The Bourne Trilogy.

Are movies like The Godfather better than Bourne, of course. But the Bourne trilogy is the only trilogy I thought got progressively better with each installment.

Even though I thought Spider-man 3 was garbage, I hold that trilogy higher than Jurassic Park.

Argh. Totally forgot Spider-man and Xmen too..

Although from what I hear..the third installments of both of those movies hurt the trilogy.

If you're looking for real news/opinions, then yes, this forum has sucked balls as of late. If, however, you're looking for unintentionally hilarious posts, then this forum has become a comedic gold mine.

All those threads were done before they made the fourth Indiana Jones flick, and are thus invalid. And a vitally important topic such as this requires only the latest and most complete data!

In that vein.. shouldn't Star Wars be stricken from the vote as well, considering it is now a 6 film series?
