DVD Talk review of 'The Hammer'
I read Brian Orndorf's DVD review of The Hammer at http://www.dvdtalk.com/reviews/read.php?ID=33802 and...what an excellent comedy. i am not so enamorate of comedies, but i was laughing out loud at spots. it was so funny and then it get sentimental. are you kidding me?
this movie just threw me for a fantastic loop. i rented and ps) the BBV copy which says "exclusive" contains none of the extras that are lsited on dvdcompare except the deleted scenes.
i don't even know Carolla and never saw "The Man Show" or whatever else he has done, but damn if he wasn't perfect for this and must have been an excellent gold gloves in his time. he looked liek he had power and good moves.
i would have loved the outtakes and conversation with feature. this sucks, but i am going to buy this and it was such a tremendous surprise.
also, why was this "R" rated? maybe i missed it, but it must have been the swearing, but i didn't even hear too much of it.
and i only rented this bc of Brian's review. way to nail it!
