Favorite Blaxploitation Movie?
Across 110th Street
Black Caesar
Coffy
Dolemite
Foxy Brown
The Mack
Shaft
Superfly
Sweet Sweetback's Baadaaass Song
Other...please specify
Across 110th Street for me. In addition to boasting a killer title track by Bobby Womack, it seems to have a bit more on it's mind than the other blaxploitation films, and the lead performances by Kotto and Quinn are excellent. For sheer entertainment value, however, it's tough to beat Rudy Ray Moore rhymin' and kickin' in Dolemite.

Across 110th Street really isn't blaxploitation to me. But it IS one hell of a great crime movie. Way underrated.
I love the genre so much that I can't decide on a favorite. I guess it depends on the mood I'm in.
But this one seems to always have a slight edge over everything else

Excellent poll!
After all my years visiting DVDTALK why didn't I think of this.
I picked SUPERFLY.
For the soundtrack and acting from the star.
BLACK BELT JONES and THREE THE HARD WAY are my runner ups.

Best overall:
Truck Turner
Action, drama, comedy, the kicking of cracker ass; Truck Turner's got it all.
Bonus: Nichelle Nichols in Trek Turner:
Most violent and yet quotable:
Black Caesar
"It's a jungle..."
Best drama:
Cornbread, Earl and Me
If you don't tear up when (obvious spoiler)
- then you're probably The Man.
Best soundtrack:
Trouble Man
The movie itself doesn't quite live up to Marvin Gaye's music.
Best WTFness:
Welcome Home, Brother Charles (b/k/a Soul Vengeance)
A brother gets his revenge on The Man by strangling him with his serpentine penis.
(Most trailers feature censored language, but may still be considered NSFW)
