Borders selling Blockbuster exclusive "Lords of Dogtown"

As part of their $7.99 sale, I just picked up the Blockbuster exclusive unrated "Lords Of Dogtown from Borders. If I remember correctly, the $7.99 sticker, which covers part of the cover, also covered the "Blockbuster Exclusive" sticker, which was under the shrinkwrap.

I just opened mine and it DOES have the Blockbuster exclusive disc. Weird.

Good news for anybody who can't find this any more.

I thought that was just an exclusive rental? Can't you just go in to Wal Mart or Best Buy and buy this?

I thought so. I didn't think any movie was exclusive to Blockbuster for purchasing.

Sorry for not being clear. The "Blockbuster Exclusive" portion is the 2nd disc. Buy it anywhere else and you only get 1 disc.

Buy it at Blockbuster (if they have any left), get 2 discs. Now you have a cheaper alternative.

Does the cover have any features besides the sticker to indicate that it's the 2-disc version?

It's strange how these things turn up at other stores. Last week I found 2 copies of the Target Exclusive of harry potter ATOTP at Best Buy. With the "target exclusive" sticker still on them!

That happened at my Best Buy... UPS delivered Target boxes to our Best Buy.

No, even the UPC is the same.

Couldn't you peel back the Borders sticker to see if there is a Blockbuster sticker underneath? You should be able to tell that way...

Generally, this happens when people "return" gifts, or the wrong thing is shipped out. I'd say this a YMMV.

Has anyone besides the OP found a copy of this at Borders?
