I just bought a PS3 MGS4 bundle and I need to buy 1 more controller and some HD cables. Where's the best deal for them? Sam's has controllers but I have to buy 2 of them. Are controllers cheaper than $54? What about HD cables? Do I need anything else?

HDMI cables can be bought cheap. Go check this site out:

6ft $4.05 + nominal shipping.

Monoprice for the HD cables. Look in your weekly periodicals for good deals on game system gadgets.

Among B&M stores, I know Wal-Mart, at least, has the Dual Shock 3 for $50, and there are places online like Amazon to get it at that price as well. Don't pay $55 for it.

If you don't need the rumble or extra weight (some of us just like the feel of the extra weight), you should be able to find a Sixaxis controller online for maybe $40-45, less if you were willing to get a used one.

BTW, that "nominal" shipping from Monoprice will run you more than the cable itself costs, if that's all you order. :) I recommend trying to buy several items at once to spread out the shipping cost. You'll pay around $7 to ship one, but around $10 to ship about 4 items. If not, well, $11 is still a lot cheaper than what most stores charge for their cables.

Since you already have a DS3, I'd suggest getting a Sixaxis as the guy above posted. Not only can you find it cheaper, but you'll give yourself the option of a super-light controller or one with feedback at any given time. And if you're playing a shooter against someone else in the house, give them the sixaxis and you'll have the advantage of better hit detection. ;)
