Penn & Teller Bull****: New Age Medicine / 6-26-08

Showtime, 9:00pm CDT

New Age Medicine
First aired: 6/26/2008

Penn and Teller take a skeptical look at New Age medicine and its outrageous, unsupported claims of healing despite a heap of evidence that it doesn't work.
One of those "fish in a barrel" debunking type episodes that should be entertaining but not cutting edge or profound.

Next week: NASA

Don't know what this will cover. I hope they at least touch on NASA's climate work.

I thought they did this topic like 4 times already.
Still I'll be tuning in. Maybe this time they'll find a way to incorporate topless chicks in it.

Good episode. Yeah the target was very easy of course but it was still good funny stuff.
Plus bonus points for that smart little girl who grew up to be a smart + hot young woman.

I did especially like the therapeutic touch segment. I remember the girl's experiment from when she did it.

The rest was kind of bleah.

But they got tits in.

When I got Crohn's Disease I flipped a coin between a gastroenterologist and the tuning fork lady. The gastroenterologist won but I'm sure it wouldn't have made any difference.

I was pretty hard at P&T fake therapy. I enjoyed the story of how the 9-year old showed all those idiots up with her study. I really enjoyed seeing the woman she grew into.

It might have been too easy, but this was certainly the funniest P&T in a long time.

That was painful to watch. How do you not bust out laughing when the guy starts in on the kazoo. I get the same feeling when I watch The Office. How can something make me feel so uncomfortable in my own home.

I attribute it to living in California. I don't know how anyone falls for all that crap. Just another example of how we obviously have too much wealth when we can blow it on crap like this.

Great episode. They didn't do enough bashing Sedona. Fucking hippies and new-agers up there!
