All store exclusives and freebies - 6/22/08 to 6/28/08
These weekly threads are for the posting and discussion of that particular week's store exclusives and freebies.
These lists will likely be incomplete until Thursday or so, since DVDs are released on Tuesday and one of us needs to visit all the stores to confirm things.

Volunteers needed: I regularly go to Best Buy, Circuit City, Target, and Walmart; but don't visit the other stores every week. If you work at or regularly go to the FYE/TWEC chains, Costco, Borders, K-mart/Sears, Barnes and Noble, Blockbuster, Hot Topic, or any other store that has DVD exclusives; We'd appreciate any updates you could give us.

I don't have a FYE near me but I was looking around on ebay and came across a 10,000 B.C. Steelbook that says it's from there.
Anyone with a close store want to confirm this?.... And how many discs it has, The auction I found doesn't say.

my store only had 10 copys and they were all pre-orders.. so if anyone did not pre-order at my store then they wont get a copy....

I'm not sure if this counts, but Best Buy has an exclusive bonus DVD included with specially marked copies of the new Motley Crue CD, "Saints of Los Angeles." It features a music video for the new single, two live songs (video), coverage of their recent press conference and a few excerpts from their autobiography, "The Dirt." From the looks of it, BB is also the only retailer selling this CD without a slipcover, revealing the cover image of 4 nude(ish) women posed in the shape of a crucifix. Nearly every other retailer has a white cardboard slipcover with simple text titles over it, with summer tour dates listed on the back. Only Wal-Mart seemed to have a different version still, one without a slipcover yet with the slipcover text titles replacing the somewhat risque cover image. Naturally, this is labeled the "clean" edition. Wallyworld sells this for $11.99, making the other retailers' price of $9.99 quite the steal (especially Best Buy, who has the bonus DVD). BB also has an exclusive CrueFest sampler CD for $4.99, featuring tracks from all the bands featured on the impending summer tour.
Okay, so only a tiny part of this post has anything to do with exclusive DVDs, but I have no idea where else to deposit all of the above information (that I'd compiled by driving all over creation yesterday). Hopefully there are a few fellow fans here to benefit from my ramblings...
