According to music crack you might enjoy:

Maroon 5 - She Will Be Loved
Daniel Powder - Bad Day
Avril Lavigne - Complicated
James Blunt - You're Beautiful
Sixpence None the Richer - Kiss Me

Sorry.

(Also, if you're doing some sort of thing where you're going thru the history of Alternative music, watch out for Crazytown. They'll sneak up on ya.)

I'm going to go with Silverchair's Young Modern album, even Diorama. They've come a long way from being Pearl Jam also-rans.

These suggestions of avril, maroon 5 are so far gone i dunno what this music crack is but ignor it. Country music classics:

JOhnny Cash
Dolly Parton
Bob Dylan
Willy Nelson
Tanya Tucker
Dixie Chicks

for starters . . .

Have you tried Pandora.com? They are very good at giving songs similar to the one you enter.

Kings of Leon is a terrific selection. You can also try Rilo Kiley and Wilco.

A3.

Trust me on this. Give a listen to "Peace in the Valley" from the "A Life Less Ordinary" soundtrack and then get in into more of their stuff. It's good stuff.

Kenny Chesney has a duet with Uncle Kracker called When the Sun Goes Down. You might like that one. In a similar vein, I'd suggest
311 - Amber
Jason Mraz - I'm Yours
