recommend some other songs like this...
i like all types of music, but never been into country
Ive always been into hard rock and alternative music
(favs are gnr, pearl jam, dave matthews band, nin, etc...)
lately.. been digging songs like uncle kracker's rendition of drift away and follow me..
what are some other recommendations along the same vein?

According to music crack you might enjoy:
Maroon 5 - She Will Be Loved
Daniel Powder - Bad Day
Avril Lavigne - Complicated
James Blunt - You're Beautiful
Sixpence None the Richer - Kiss Me
Sorry.
(Also, if you're doing some sort of thing where you're going thru the history of Alternative music, watch out for Crazytown. They'll sneak up on ya.)

A3.
Trust me on this. Give a listen to "Peace in the Valley" from the "A Life Less Ordinary" soundtrack and then get in into more of their stuff. It's good stuff.

Kenny Chesney has a duet with Uncle Kracker called When the Sun Goes Down. You might like that one. In a similar vein, I'd suggest
311 - Amber
Jason Mraz - I'm Yours
