Men in Black Blu-ray issue on BDP-300

Has anyone else had a problem with some of the features "blowing up" so you can only see part of the screen image? I have a BDP-300 with pretty recent firmware... seems to be the disc, not the player. I tried different settings too. Anyone else have similar problems? FWIW, I'm connected to an LG 27" LCD (720p) via HDMI.

I have a BDP-300 and played Men in Black with no problems. Slow load times but aside from that, there wasn't a glitch.

Where's this movie money that's advertised on the slipcover? I know it says "e-movie cash" but there's no link or code that I can find.

^there is supposed to be a sticker attached to slipcover but a lot of people are saying the ones at best buy and other big box stores have had them taken off by customers since its on the outside of slipcover and not inisde sealed dvd case

Mine came from Amazon and the only sticker was on the front and said "See reverse for details."

It's supposed to be on the back of the sticker. I've read others were missing a code. My Amazon shipment is coming today - we'll see if there's a code or not.

Mine came from Amazon yesterday (BTW killer disc, no problems on my BD-30 though I only skimmed through the extras) and I've already printed my ticket out. I'm expecting a delay after presenting it to the ticket-taker though, cause it doesn't look anything like any 'movie money' I've used before.

I found the info on the back of the sticker. The act of peeling the sticker pretty much ruined the slip cover, so I just said "fuck it" and threw the damn slip case away.

Hammer, does the ticket look like a check or is it one of those awful "fake credit card" style tickets?

They look close to the regular Hollywood Movie Money tickets.

Lots of complaints about how bad this sticker is. Mine is arriving from Amazon today. I just hope my code doesn't get ruined when I remove the sticker. I'll have my goo gone on stand-by.

It looks like a ticket. There's a 16-digit code that the teller has to manually enter (no scan). It also has my name printed on it... one thing I don't like is that it also has a bad zip code on it, which isn't close to anything in MD & definitely isn't what I inputted.

Oh OK, I didn't know that's what you call it, first time I've ever seen one. I'm sure a manager will have to get involved before I gain entrance.

The theaters take it like they're manually entering a credit card (that's why there's a zip code and something that looks like a CVV).

I barely got mine sticker off the cover without ripping it. Case it totally gummed up. I'll try some Goo Gone on it.

As far as the ticket print out, I'll just go off hours at a non-crowded showing so it's not a big deal when the manager is inevitably called.

EDIT: Can someone confirm the web address? I can't make it out. Thanks.

The zip code is not bad, it's not your Zip Code. From the FAQ in the email you got....

The theater is asking for my address and zip code to enter into their POS terminal, What do I tell them?

The theater should enter the address and zip code printed on your e-Movie Cash Ticket. The address is 111 John Street, 27th Floor, New York, NY 10038

Also, be sure you check to see what theatres will actually accept the ticket. The theatre I always go to is not as of now.

I bought at Best Buy (matched to Circuit City price). No sticker, but no residue or mangling whatsoever.

I wonder if there were just some that didn't have it. I don't plan to see Hancock anyway, so I'm okay with it.

Just got mine in the mail today. Didn't even look at the sticker yet. Maybe because I really don't care if I see "Hancock" or not. Back to "MIB", I'm not all that thrilled with the PQ. Some scenes look great. Most look just o.k. I had high hopes for this too.

I managed to take the sticker off using a hairdryer.

Worked fine on my LG high def player.
