Best Buy 2 for $25 Blu-Ray w The Proposition as pre-order (cheaper than SD pre-order)

I looked and did not see anyone post this yet, so I thought I would.

Best Buy is having a 2 for $25 deal on several Blu-Rays. One of them is the upcoming movie, The Proposition. It is due for release on 8/19/08, but you can get it pre-ordered for less than pre-ordering the standard dvd. That is the first time I've seen that one! Unfortunately, you can't click in-store pick-up, but if this sale just started, it might be made available later in the week. I've pre-ordered before with in-store pick-up, so I see no reason why they wouldn't allow it this time. I don't own a blu-ray player yet, but I might just have to start picking up some movies in blu now and get the player sooner than I thought.

There's also a bunch of great titles at 2 for $30 going on right now. Some are going for both sales, so you'll have to make sure you match them up properly when you order. It also looks like there's a limit, but multiple orders always works for me when that happens.

Cool....wouldn't mind getting Day of the Dead and Dawn of the Dead for $25. Anybody know how long these sales are going on? Best Buy just had a 2 for $30 a week or two ago. I picked up Pan's Labyrinth and Blade Runner (5 disc) for $30.

No prob. I've heard good things about this movie, and I hear fye is going to have a steelbook for it. When I saw it in the 2 for $25 sale, I couldn't believe it. I don't think I've ever seen a new release on blu-ray go for that cheap. This might be my first (or second I guess depending on how I order them) blu-ray. I'm also still debating about which other blu to get, but I'm leaning towards T2 'cos I'm sure it will look and sound great in hd, The Punisher 'cos I liked that movie and it will probably also look and sound great in hd, or Stir of Echoes 'cos I don't own it yet in sd and haven't seen it in quite some time.

I was thinking T2 as well, but I've owned that movie in three different versions in SD and never watched it once. I think maybe I burnt myself out on it during the laserdisc days? Or the four times I saw it in the theater? Eh. Maybe we'll go with First Blood: Part II.

I was at a BB yesterday but didn't see any sale signs on the shelves, so I wasn't sure.

You could buy them on-line and choose in-store pick-up. That way you get to park in the coveted bestbuy.com spot in front, and you can get in and get out quick.

You can also have them pricematch their on-line prices if they ring up regular price. You might want to simply take them to customer service and have them check out the prices, and then simply have them look-up the price and pricematch it for you. I hate having to wait in line only to find out I need to go to customer service anyway to get the pricematch from their website.
