Apparently the VG has a big following? I am not big on it myself, but when has a videogame movie been good and Bruce has been on such a role lately. who knows.

No. Not a big following. Was an average video game that came out at a time when other games did what it did, but better.

I haven't played the game and I haven't read many positive reviews for it, but I really liked the previews I saw for it. It's got kind of a Heat/Collateral influence to it, which the developers openly admitted emulating.

I have never played the game, but i just hope it would be rated R, since the game has an M rating.

I agree that the debacle over the Gamespot review was far bigger than the actual game.
I couldn't stand the game and never finished it. If the story was decent then I hope the movie is faithful so I can watch it instead of forcing myself to play it.

I could definitely see it being made into a movie.
