DVD Planet vs. Deep Discount
Hi. In gearing up for the big 20% off sale at DD, I decided to do a price comparison between DD and DVD Planet. It turns out what I was planning on getting is a full 10 dollars cheaper at Planet! So, can someone who's more of a bargain-hunter-at-heart than me explain any downside to going with DVD Planet? Are there any fundamental differences between the two sites? Thanks.

If you're in the lower 48 states, anything you buy from DD is shipped free. DVD Planet you have to have over $35. You earn points which you can redeem at DVD Planet if you buy enough, DD doesn't have that. DVD Planet in the past sold used discs, but at the present time does not. Other than that, there's really no difference. Both owned by the same parent company, items are shipped from the same warehouse.

I seem to get items shipped and received faster from DVD Planet even with free shipping .

^That was "fixed" during the last 20% off sale. But it's still to be seen if they come back. I've received 2 shipments from DD in the past month that came in bubble mailers. Since they both use the same warehouse it is possible you'll see these from DVD Planet too.
