My DVR shows the length of the episode as 76mins, 10pm to 11:16pm. Of course, the rerun later tonight is 90mins, 1:12am-2:42am. I'm guessing that the premiere airing is being shown without commercials?

Edit: Yep, the premiere is 76 mins long with "limited commercial interruptions."

Hopefully this show doesn't take itself too seriously and is a little quirky like Burn Notice.

Very much like Burn Notice with the voiceovers, the troublesome sibling (Burn Notice=brother, In Plain Sight=sister) and the quirky mother played by a more famous actress, but another version of Burn Notice is welcome indeed. IPS is just different enough - think of it as the flip side of Burn Notice; they'd be the people watching Michael, and probably be able to match him on technique.

And I can't wait for Burn Notice S2.

Yes, I believe it was.

I'm ambivalent. It was ok. Nothing there really grabbed me, though. The characters were generally unlikeable. I'll watch a few more episodes to see if it starts to shape out a bit, but if it doesn't I'm going to drop it.

Only thing that grabbed me is she's SMOKIN HOT. But I already knew that really.

Watched it last night. Guessed who the killer was the first time the killer appeared. Not a very tough case. Hope it gets better. Will keep watching for a few more episodes to see if it does.

Apparently the ratings were spectacular. 5.3M viewers for the series premiere.

http://community.tvguide.com/blog-en...iere/800040777

It says it was 32 percent higher than the series premiere of Burn Notice.

It's another USA Network show. New episodes in July IIRC.

Pretty ho-hum. I'll watch a few more and see if it improves.

I enjoyed it. Like everyone is saying, it complements Burn Notice (the way Psych complements Monk).

The one thing I don't care for is the central character following the formula of being so bad @$$ at her job, but a complete mess in her personal life. The scene where she cornered a suspect in the bathroom was so predictable, though the scene previous to this where she confronts the bartender was pretty funny.

I liked it and will continue to watch. I like the conversation with the bar tender too.

John Hein, the Jump the Shark guy, who is also on Howard Stern show said the show really hits it's stride in episode 3. He said not to give up on it.

It's not a particularly bad show... It just felt like the writers knew what they wanted to do, but couldn't quite pull it together. That having been said, I'm going to continue watching. I think it has definite potential, but it just lacking.

It's no Burn Notice though, I'll say that...

(The main character's mannerisms and inflections sometimes reminded me of Ace Ventura, particularly when she exited the men's restroom and said "He's a real special guy. *crosses fingers* I hope he calls.")

Hmm...the writers probably fit what they could into the pilot...I thought it was good!

That's the feeling I'm getting...some have even been calling IPS a "female" version of BN...

You must not watch USA Network much, because they hyped the crap out of it last year, and are starting to do it again. It gets to be a little much.

Anyway, 2nd episode of IPS was better than the pilot, but the mother/sister subplot was boring. Fortunately, Leslie Ann Warren is still hot.

2nd episode wasn't any better, any worse, although I could probably watch this show simply for Nichole Hiltz.

Agree that the mom/sis sub"plot" was way boring. It's as if the writers/producers were trying to balance the "heaviness" of the main plot with their slapschtick.

I also agree that Warren is still hot. They would make a great mother/daughter tag team.

(If you know what I mean... )

Eww....that's twisted...

I liked tonight's ep. But, seriously, tho...did she really even have to mention to the bad-guy, that he was "beat-up by a girl"...after his face was already 3 inches deep in horse-crap!?!

Hahaha...she's great...

Mary had about a 1 to 2 minute cameo on L&O CI tonight. Good episodes of both tonight.
