Anyone have suggestions for good and funny essay collections? I've read some Sedaris, and I like Augusten Burroughs, but I'd like to try some others.

There was one I just browsed, something like "Things I've learned from my ex girlfriends" or something... Steven Colbert had one, I was actually laughing out loud reading it.

Do a search for Lewis Grizzard on Amazon -- you can't go wrong with "Don't Bend Over in the Garden Granny, You Know Them Taters Got Eyes," "The Chili Dogs Bark at Midnight," and "When My Love Returns from the Lady's Room, Will I be Too Old to Care?"

Chuck Palahniuk's "Stranger than Fiction" is mostly a riot.

I think most all of George Saunders is a kick. I enjoy his fiction short stories, more, but his most recent book (The Braindead Megaphone) is good. Some better than others, but very humorous throughout. Some travelogue, some political, some just generally retrospective or personal.
Again, check out his fiction. Civilwarland in Bad Decline is some brilliant stuff.
I always think David Foster Wallace is pretty funny, too, and his new collection of essays (Consider the Lobster) has some insightful pieces (i.e. his unedited essay that he wrote on behalf of Rolling Stone regarding McCain). If you enjoy this, he has some previous essay collections, as well.

If you're into pop-culture analysis, Chuck Klosterman's books are pretty amusing.

A lot of the stuff in T.C. Boyle's "Stories" is very funny, but it's not a collection of funny stories.

And ditto to the David Foster Wallace recommendation.

James Thurber's books are collections that include essays, anecdotes, and short stories.

Although not entirely rooted in being humorous, Jonathan Lethem's two, Men & Cartoons (http://www.amazon.com/Men-Cartoons-Jonathan-Lethem/dp/1400076803/ref=pd_bbs_sr_8?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1212987766&sr=8-8) and The Disappointment Artist (http://www.amazon.com/Disappointment-Artist-Essays-Jonathan-Lethem/dp/1400076811/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1212987798&sr=8-1), are positively wonderful reads.
