I'm so there! I'm really excited for this season finale! It will be interesting to see if the rumors circulating about the finale are true, and if so, how they will play out! We'll soon find out...

Dana Delany rocked! Enjoyed the backstory to the season's central mystery. Tho I didn't enjoy how they wasted Justine Bateman in that 2nd hour.
Julie giving the mother-daugther speech. Tom's wasn't bad either.
Bye-bye:
Julie, bad seed Kayla, and...Mike (I'm betting five years later Susan still couldn't handle the name switch.)

I didn't realize that was Justine Bateman until I saw the opening credits tonight. Rough.

WOW!
The ladies impressed me, majorly, tonight! I'm so happy for Katherine. I'm so proud of the gals protecting her! That smile on Katherine's face, at the end, was BEAUTIFUL!
I LOVED IT ALL, except for that VERY odd ending. FIVE FREAKING YEARS!

I expected that the fall down the stairs would restore Carlos' vision. Guess not.
So I wonder if Mike is gone for good or not. Since Denton is the one that first leaked the 5 year later plot, it could have been sour grapes (ala Misha Barton on the OC). We don't know for sure that Carlos and Gabby are still together, but I guess it is implied. So I am assuming that the oldest one was adopted, since she certainly seemed more than 5 years old (or 4 plus a couple of months).
Edie will no doubt be back, so I wonder if she will be with Mike. I wonder if Orson has done time and is now back with Bree, with some injury suffered in Prison (like in a wheelchair or something). No surprise that the Scavo's have bad kids.

So, will next season start 5 years later (after dealing with Wayne), and then just backfill the details when needed (in case cast changes makes it tough to keep the cast members on the show)? I guess it's an okay way to introduce new cast members and shuffle off the current ones that won't return next season.

Pretty good resolution to the Katherine story (so sad about the real Dylan getting crushed.)
But I still don't understand why the note said her father had been murdered, and why the adoptive Dylan had no memory of the orphanage. (Romania? )

(Thinking about that, that must be why the letter said her father was murdered. Duh!)

I think it's a great ending because while it's not a Who Shot JR moment, it's still something that leaves quite a bit of mystery. Will we see the five year gap? Will the show just skip ahead to tell new stories, and act like Westeria Lane has been quiet for a long time. Either way, this explains why when Marc Cherry was asked about Nicolette Sheridan was leaving the show, he said we wouldn't see her "for years."
I like the possibilities here. I just hope that they handle it better than Alias did in Season 3.

Okay this episode was definately what the series has been needing since season three.
I'm really excited to see where they all are coming october: especially Gaby dealing with those kids (That look older than 4/5 by-the-way) and Bree (I'm glad to see she was successful).
WTF is with Gale harold (Brian of "Queer as Folk") w/ Susan? Thats gonna be interesting...

IMO, it makes a lot more sense to completely jump ahead the 5 years to start the season. They'll easily spend the rest of next season filling in the gaps and then there's your "season mystery".
Although it didn't really fill out the Dylan backstory in a completely logical way, I still enjoyed the resolution.

Lynette and Tom's twins couldn't have been older than 8. They're stealing cars at age 13? Also Gabby's kids looked older than 5, must be adopted. I forget was she unable to have kids or she just didn't want to get fat, when they had that surrogate.

Not sure about the jump-ahead. Could be interesting.
Pretty good resolution to the Dylan storyline with the underlying mystery being a complete accident. Ouch though.

I knew it was coming, but yes that Carlos moment still cracked me up.

That ending was just confusing? I don't like the 5-year jump ahead or the fact that Mike seems to be gone.
Did anyone else notice this?
At the very end, during Mary Alice's closing narration, when they show quick glimpses of everyone, the camera pans to the left off a shelf or mantle and over to the reverend. On that shelf I SWEAR there was a black dildo or penis statue of some sort.

I'm kinda still wondering about the whole Kayla thing. I mean it was a very deep and powerful storyline that was pretty dark. I was kinda running a whole gamet of emotions from hating her to actually feeling sorry for her. It should be interesting to see next season if Tom was never able to get over the situation or not.

That armoire thing really hit home. The same thing happened to my niece when she was about 8 years old. My brother was re-finishing the floors in his bedroom and had this incredibly heavy armoire standing on a few small pieces of wood placed at the corners. Precariously so as it turns out because when my niece went in to look for something, she inadvertently bumped into it and the whole thing came crashing down on top of her. I don't know how but she had managed to wrap herself up into a little ball and miraculously (like in a cartoon) positioned herself in exactly the right way to line up with an empty space in the armoire. An inch or two in any direction ... good God, what a horror. We're not especially religious, but we've always had a strong feeling that my mother was watching over her. Now we're sure.
