Glamour Collections from CH - no sleeves?

Hello,

I just received "Carole Lombard - The Glamour Collection" from CH and it was in the white shrinkwrapped box but without the outer translucent sleeve (which is the only place where the title of the collection is).

Did this happen to anybody else (with this or other from the "Glamour" series)? I'm asking because if this is common there is no use to exchange and get the same thing again. I asked CH but they are, of course, clueless.

That happened to me as well.
The M. Dietrich set did have the cover.
I kept it.

Do you mean the Dietrich Collection did have the sleeve and the Lombard Collection did not?
Did you return the latter or exchange it?

Yes, that is right. I kept the C. Lombard and didn't fool with an exchange.

When I ordered the Dietrich and Mae West Collections last year, they both came with covers.

If it's any consolation, the same thing happened with Amazon. I got several of the glamour collections from them: all had the outer sleeves except the Lombard.

Didn't contact Amazon to see about an exchange...maybe a whole batch of these went out to various retailers without sleeves.

At any rate, the problem wasn't just isolated to CH.

My Lombard collection also did not have a sleeve. Until I saw this thread I did not know it should have had one. I was puzzled because the label has *nothing* on the side to identify this when it is on the shelf!

I just got the Lombard collection from DD and it came with a sleeve, FYI
