View Full Version : Do you shower EVERY part of your body?

For shower-takers only.

Realized today that I've never bothered to apply the soap directly to certain parts of my anatomy. I don't bend over to scrub the backs of my knees, for instance. Or my butt, though I do a couple swipes at the crotch area.

Never had one of those back-scrubbers either, so unless someone's in there to help me out, my back relies on water pressure to get clean.

Does anyone soap up EVERY part of their body in the shower? If not, do you care that areas go completely unwashed for YEARS?

I use a body scrubber and tea tree oil infused bodywash on everything from the jawline down. I use Ivory and a washcloth on my face, scalp (shaved head), and ears. Have you checked to see if you have blackheads on your back? If I didn't scrub I know I would.

To clarify: everything gets soaped and rinsed, but not everything gets scrubbed by hand.

I don't bother scrubbing the bottoms of my feet, for instance, figuring the trickle-down effect of soap and water takes care of that.

I'm trying to decide if people who scrub every inch are Howard Hughes types or just generally well-hygiened.

There's a couple inch strip across my back that I can't reach with my hands, so it doesn't get direct contact. Everything else gets at least a quick swipe. When I started washing under my toes, I stopped getting athlete's foot.

what the hell? you only do a couple of swipes at your crotch? Isn't that one of the more important areas to cover?

I haven't cleaned my colon/rectum in a while. Might be due.

I always thought I was a little OCD for scrubbing absolutely everywhere, especially the bottom of my feet. :-\

I'm not sure I have washed my ankles in particular lately... I'm pretty sure they get clean, though.

When I shower, I have my entire body thoroughly scrubbed by a slave girl using a body-wash made from a gland of the nearly-extinct Paraguayan 4-toed Screeching Marmoset of Vietnam.

I don't pick out peanuts or anything, or braid my pubes, but that shit gets clean. I'm talking about those areas that take effort to wash, that require balance, coordination, and hyperextended armwork. Below the knee, high up on the back.

It takes effort to clean your back? It's a miracle you haven't just broken into a pile of bones and flesh in the shower.

I'm just like you OP, I rely on the soap and water to get the areas I don't scrub. It doesn't bother me any. However I'm not going to go around asking others if it bothers them that I don't scrub everywhere.

I don't apply soap to every part, but I certainly make sure soap from my shoulders goes down my back as I shower and I make sure the shower stream gets me all over...even where the sun doesn't shine. Can't be walking around without being clean all over, shoot.

I wish I could reach most of the folds.. But sadly I can't. Oh well, at least I could hide pizzas in those folds.

Shower twice a day. I go through a bar of Caress about every ten days. And yes, I scrub everything.

i don't scrub my back or legs below my knees. never really thought about it actually...but never had athletes foot or anything, so i'm assuming they get clean enough. every couple of weeks the wife will scrub my back for me...that seems to be enough. no acne issues back there. i have discovered the joy of the shower sponge and nice liquid body wash for everything else....nice exfoliation!

I don't spend 20 minutes in the shower for nothing. Darn skippy I wash everything. And some areas get the twice-over treatment.

My little scrubber has seen things no person should. So, yes, it gets in everywhere.

Same here.

The crotch gets the most washing. It feels good.
