GTA4 - Best Deals - Post Here
So, I've seen that Best Buy is advertising a $50 GC when you buy GTA4 and a XBOX 360 together, as well as Circuit City offering a $10 GC when you prchase GTA4. Are there any other deals going on? So far, I've only seen these two and both are showing up at $59.99.
Please post any additional deals offered, whether it's best price or a "freebie" that comes with.
Just an idea? Don't flame me bro!

Am I correct in assuming this game isn't really going to be on "sale" for some time to come. I'm not going to be seeing it for $39.99 in two-three months right? I only ask because I'm backed up on games at the moment... but if I'm gonna get it I might as well get a gift card for it right?

I am getting this at BB, only because it is the only store that I can quickly and easily get to tomorrow.
I got a free poster for pre-ordering.

If you are a Gamefly subscriber, the Keep It Now price is $49.99 ($47.49 if you get the 5% discount). My copy shipped today, but I'm so impatient that I don't know if I can stop myself from buying it elsewhere tomorrow.

My deal was through Amazon.com -- $59.99 - $50 "We're sorry that HD DVD bombed!" = $9.99 + FSSS

I don't think anyone is NOT buying the game based on the $60 price, but hey, if there's a deal out there, might as well go for it. Certainly doesn't hurt, especially for people that don't need it Day 1.

Fry's has it at regular price (59.99 normal version, 89.99 for the limited edition or whatever) but you can get the guide for 5 bucks if you buy it with the game.
I dunno... although the GTA games are great (if you enjoy them), if you don't have time to play it for 2 to 3 months, I'd wait. I made that same mistake with a lot of games where I get them on sale at release, don't play them for a while, and by the time I get around to them better deals are to be had. Especially with games that are going to sell so many copies, at the very least you'll have a ton of used games to pick through in a few months. If you can wait even longer, it'll most certainly hit greatest hits status eventually.
I recently got burned with Persona 3... bought it at launch, and just this past week they released Persona 3 FES, which is the same game with extras for half off the price. Of course I bought it like a lemming anyway, and actually started playing it...

Any idea what Fry's or Costco will be selling it for?

Are you just going to ask about the CC thing when you pick it up, or take a print out, or...?

I'm bringing in the ad. If they deny me, I'll buy it and take the receipt to the CS counter later in the week. I don't think there's anything in their PM policy that would preclude them from giving it to me. I'll raise hell for a $10 GC; I have very little shame that way.
