Well, it said it was "in stock" when I ordered it but now it says it's "backordered" on my order so I wonder if I'll get it. And it still says it's "in stock" on the product page.

I just ordered one. I didnt see it say backordered anywhere. Mine says processing, and said In Stock throughout the entire ordering process... FYI, e bates gives another 6% back...

Mine did too until I checked back a few hours later. I also got a backordered email.
I just have to wonder if they'll ever get the HD DVD back in stock.

My e-mail said it was an advance sale, so I think it might be an overstock they are getting in on a certain date, but they have the page wrong because it's a title that's already released.

Well, there's just a lot of us who went red early on and the scuttle is the PE BBC version is great material to show off HDM. Price is ultra cheap when compared to the BR version. I'm going to ride this one out until my A35 dies and cherry pick from the best (and cheapest) each format has to offer.

It's hard to say. It may be that all of the retail stock will be sold by this summer. This is a highly popular HD release.
